Chemdawg Sister Growlog

So, after 8 months of trying to get this plant to root and veg (so far the hardest plant to veg I've ever grown), I thought I'd start up a grow log here on ICMAG, as Its my first.

I run alot of the Chemdawg stuff, and really like the flavor and potency, thought we would try a Sister out and see what the differences besides color are.

She will be going to veg for another 3 weeks or so, and will be flowered in a 7gallon smart pot.

I run House and Garden nutes, with calmag and great white added in.

Yup. Took over 2 months to root properly in rapid rooters, and another 2 months to get where she is now.

I was told that due to the issues in rooting, there are very few cuts of this plant around. Dunno how legit that statement is, but whatever.

I puffed on some Sister just a few months ago when I visited a family, VERY NICE INDEEDY...

I've smoked the sister but to be honest I don't remember it much except that it was good pot. All the chems that I've smoked were good pot so that's not too surprising. It definitely sounds like it doesn't have the vigor of some of the other chems though. Two months to root would just freak me out.....

Most of the other chems are very good pot indeed, with Chem D being my favorite so far (love that kushy flavor). The 91 was a bit too Sour-Dish for my tastes, as I'm not really into the sour stuff that much (I had my sour fever a couple years back, lol). Now I grow mostly indicas, with a few sativa's on board as well.

The only Chem plant I am trying to decide if I want to keep is the Giesel. She herms late in life unlike the other Chem stuff (from what I've found), but the smoke is so damn good, I can't give her up!

I'm sure in the future I will be doing many more grow logs here, as I just was recently turned on to the site by a friend.

I had sister in my stable for quite a while......she turns purple late in flower....taste more like Sour D then Chemdog....d or 4.....

I had no rooting problem with the sister....it's the ECSD clone that gave me a headache..lol

i guess they are both tough to root..... i dropped her from my mom's because she wasn't as good as chem d...4 or Ecsd.... close but not quite as heavy a hitter as them.....the color is sweet if you sell the bud...great bag appeal...

I grew the ecsd cut for a long time ...never had trouble rooting her in any style.

alpha couldnt be more right with how touchy it is to clone this plant. When we first got it, i put it in my aerocloner that i have 100% success with. It stayed in there and took over a month to throw out a root. I have taken many clones and have about a 10-15% survival rating with them even in the aerocloner. dont know if this was from stress from clone bein sent to us. Alpha is one of the nicest people ive ever met. i moved out to this medical land, and he was nice enough to give me more elites than i could have dreamed for. it was only fitting that he got the first and only clone that i got to root of her. Right now i have a 4 foot sister in flower, shes pissed cause shes been rootbound for a while cause i wouldnt flower her till we got a rooted clone. Alpha may be a "new member" but he is one of the best growers i know, nicest people ive met, and did i mention he can make the best medicated food EVER!!! people look forward to a good show from him, ima get my popcorn and pul up a seat also
