FIRST TIME SOG GROW INFO NEEDED

Hey all,

Been on here for a while reading and such and thought i would give it another go and am looking for some info and do's and donts. i have done one grow befor and it didnt turn out to bad it was a closet grow with no exaust or intake and i did have some probs but i did get some bud from it so this time ive picked up from there and thought i would spend a wee bit and get a exaust fan and try SOG this time and the reason for this was the gd old DRbud micro grow that im sure you have all read anyway enough blabing here is the spec:

Flower room is:
36"w x19"d x 56"h
1x 400w hps
1x RUCK 100mm 227m3hr exaust fan
passive intake
1x carbon filter 240m3hr
pots will be water bottles as in drBuds
medium will be the same as in DrBuds

Mother/Clone room
36"w x19"d x36"h
1x 2ft flouro
5x 20w cfls
2x pcfans for exaust
passive intake

im going to cram as much as i can get into the flower room so some info on how many people think i can do in the water bottles under the 400w hps would be gd i dont want the plants to finish more that 2ft high so i will have to work that out for myself in time by starting at diff heights as DrBud suggests oh and the strain is Wonder Women feminised seeds from nervana which is a cross between ICE and TOPP44

SOG please post pics of that Ice cross as that is a strain (ice) I've been definitely interested in acquiring.

I have a Sensi Star x Blue God I just made and depending on the traits it inherits I may later cross it with Ice and or one of the Kushes for a spectacular SCROG display, as thats the goal.

Hey Lokes i will do have been reading a bit about the strain and its meant to work well with a SOG style i got the seeds 2day so will be starting them in a few days i also got 12 landslide seeds free with my order which is a 60/40 indica satvia mix has anyone seen these plants? i also have purchased a primair temp fan controller for the flower part of the cab so that should keep the temps great for the ladies.

just an update so ive started the seeds so far 5 have poped up still have the shell on but its a start and ive changed the soil and nutes im gona be useing to biobizz allmix and biobizz nutes g/b/tmax and have aquired some epsom salts after reading a great article about the products and also a lot of peopel have a lot of gd words to say about them, can anyone give me a gd idea of how many to put in the flower room cause i dont want to overcrowed im still staying with the bottles so some input would be great.

how are you popping seeds in water or paper towel or in soil? Also if you see a tail plant it. Make sure your mix isnt real nute strong or else it could burn the seedlings

I'm going to get a bunch of shit for this but I'd go with CFL's cuz my box has 8 42w CFL's in 2.5 sq ft I have more points of light which is always better and if you can I would go Fox Farm soil and nutes also I like GH Flora Nova nutes also with Ready Grow coco mix using DrBuds method and have supreme results!!! as good as any HID grow I've seen and I think you will get better quality with the CFL's as the infra red radiation from HPS burns the tops of the plants and so far every harvest I've had with the DrBud style has given me excelent results and when you switch up the nutes omg do the plants thrive and look and taste even better!!

I soaked them in warm water for 6hrs then into a paper towel till i can just see the root comeing the into a cup presoaked whit just water and heated under the cfl and floros befor i put the seed in and the soil is john west seed starter.

I was going to go with cfls but as i had the 400w hps i thought i might aswell use it + i just bought a primair controller and a fan and carbon filter but tell me how many do you think i could get under there in that space i have read your grow with cfls and it was full off gd info so feel free to pass some of your knolge onto me as i said this is my 2nd grow but first SOG and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Ok peps the setup is now complete the fan and filter is installed and liked to the primair controller and just for the rcord that thing is so quite you can just about here it when it is on full power the batton is fitted for the light tight curtain on the flower chamber and all electrics is done so im gona take some pics and would like to know what you all think.

Ive made some changes to the setup i no longer have a clone shelf cause i thought i might need the extra head room so what ive done is decide to just keep 5 mums in one half and clones on the other half of the veg chamber.

I also have a Q

The way i have the fan setup is like this { ducting from the room into the fan and the fan put straight into the carbon flter and the fan and filter are hung from the rafters on two bungie cords } this means that the fan is sucking hot air out and blowing it through the filter is this a gd way to do it or is there a better way

I will uploade the pics 2nite if i can find out how to do it

yes as far as the exhaust goes thats what you want... remove heat then odor control... i wouldnt crowd too many girls into your flower box, the less they have to fight for light the better.... check out my thread if you want, similar setup.... im also usin FFOF amended with perlite, vermiculite, earthworm castings, dolomite lime, and gwano....

Hey Janedope been on your journal looking good and thanks for the invite and info will be keeping a close eye.
