how does SR71 PK differ from Urkle....i have heard they are very similar.
very nice looking leonidas.....you are very close to enjoying some sweet treats!

oh ya....what temps are needed for purpling?
thanks

They are actually nothing alike IMO.

The Urkle veg's slow as hell, and doesnt strech at all, while the PK is a relatively fast vegging plant, with very long strech. The taste of the nugs is also very very different. With the PK tasting like a sweet version of Bubba K (pre-98), and the Urkle tasting, well.., purple.

Who these people the Pk veg's fast and stretches LOl. Maybe if you have that other stretch pheno but the normal pk doesnt stretch very m,uch a short squat plant. Pk will turn all purple if the conditions are right and let sit 9 weeks!!

Bopper - Why do you think I am asking about the strains on this web site... to get more info. Instead of more information I got a sarcastic reply, no offense intended. Nobody has posted any pics of the Qurkle or given a smoke report. If it were up to you Bopper, what strain from Blue Sky would you grow? Thanks for any info.

Jack the Ripper (some current info)

After about three weeks of vegetation i flowered 3 of my JTR's with 2x vertically
hanging 125w warm CFLS... to control the stretch, however the JTR likes to stretch:

Day 1 && Day 15
My church, which previously stretched about 25% for me, has not stretched at
all thanks to the closely dangling CFLs however JTR is on track to almost triple
in size, anyone have any idea how much these babies are gonna stretch?

I can't get the PK to stretch much and mine went 60 dayz with only purple tips but the temps here in So Cal have been close to 90 + most of her grow cycle . I have 4 big PK in my preflower tent in 4 gallon square pots and will see if I can get them purple this time around . Zoolander

yeah the PK does not stretch much, very squat plant.Zoo i am sure the next round ya get it purple up more with winter here and temp star ting to lower

SR71 PK does not smell anything like bubba kush, it smells like everyother "purple" strain. Does not stretch, slow veg. It is identical to Purple Erkle.

Urkle an PK are def different. Yeild by one and taste by another. Urkle is killin the PK in taste if you ask me.

Pk and Urkle both have the same growing profile when grown righht next to eachother. Urkle may taste better but yield doesnt come close. Just my opinion though!!

Bulldog11,

It wasn't my intent to be sarcastic. Sorry if you took that impression. Some of us have previous experience of subcool's "honest" appraisals of his goods from his stay at CW. The post was only intended to alert you to the possible unreliability of your source.

Personally I'd avoid anything from sub or his group, and if you are limited to Blue Sky, the PK was the only one liked from the one's we tried. It does veg quite slowly, so we didn't even keep that one. The DC cross seems interesting, but we've never grown it. Most of the other types have been widely available for quite some time from many sources (subcool excepted) and seem a bit pedestrian or were found to be not strong enough for my needs.

If you have the means, I'd recommend a trip to NNCC in Reseda for OGorganic's cuts. If memory serves, they open membership one day a month (the 15th I believe). We grew clones from OGorganic exclusively when he was up here and had excellent results thereby.

It isn't very satisfying to spend the months required to veg and finish a clone, only to find that it isn't up to par. I only wished to spare you that unpleasantness when suggesting that you seek other sources of information. :sasmokin:

Best,

bopper

JordanTheGreat - My JTR has relentlessly been vegging into my brand new 200w
CFL, be aware that the true stretch is yet to come in 12/12...

EDIT: Perhaps a screen is in order?

Bobber,

Sorry about my response. I have had a tuff week and I did not mean to offend you. I do agree that I would be pissed if I vegged for 2 months and then grew 2nd grade meds. So I thank you for your advice. I have heard of OGorganics before and I also believe Swerve is another quality grower. I don't think I can drive to So Cal any time soon, do these guys ever come to the bay? Anyway, take care and Happy Halloween everybody.
