i have 5 nebulas about 5 weeks into 12/12. i took 4 clones about the time i put the 5 nebs into flower. the clones all took and are now veggin, BUT 1 of the 5 nebs is 1 of the most frostiest sweet lookin girls i have seen so i would like to take a cutting or 2 from her. is 5 weeks into 12/12 too late to take a cut, or just do it and force back to veg under 20/4 with other cuts in veg tent? thx. :joint:

yeah, you can do that. The cuts will have to reveg but it can be done. I have a powerhouse and mango haze doing just that.

so basically u can take cuttings anytime between knowing its a female and harvest...? i guess optimum time would be right before 12/12 but in my case, discovering your frostiest healthiest girl at 5 weeks of 12/12 is alittle different. just need to reveg. just wanted to be sure since i only have little experience with taking cuttings. 100% success rate though i must say. ;)

yes i'm sure i have a rotted clone from that plant but i didnt label the clones. i would like to get 1 from extra frosty plant and keep as a mother for awhile.

justanother bozo why do u say it wont be easy...? whats hard about taking a cut revegging and keeping warm and RH in optimal range...?

Totally possible to take clones from a plant no matter what stage of flowering it's at.

I've had success with a clone taken at harvest time.

It may take a bit longer for it to root, but it's definitely possible.

Yes, I've revegged a girl that gave better harvests than her sisters and turned her into a mom that gives awesome cuttings. I would suggest revegging the plant then taking the cuttings.

I would just take one clone and work with it as a potential mother.

Yeah it will prolly even root faster then a regular clone too. will take about a month before the nug dies off and you will see the new one bladed growth start vegging out. It truly isnt ready to be a mom until the new growth starts shooting off multiple bladed leaves.

About a month ago, I took cuttings from a few plants that were 3 weeks into flower. They are alive and well, but have yet to revert to veg. You should be fine over a long enough time scale. let us know how they grow.
