So please, any more info on the GrenCrackMan cut of OG? Smell? Taste? High/Stone? Compared to other OG? Look? Yield? How long to finish?... Thanks all...........RD

GreenCrackMan was a screen name used by a kush carnesuer who worked with the Kush Corp back on the old overgrow website. I don't believe he frequents the boards anymore. Back then the plant was simply refered to as OG Kush or Ogers Kush. I don't think there was established names for cuts yet like SFV, Larry, poison, ect..... I remember It was also jokingly refered to as OG Kush aka Jesus aka Pioson which I got a kick out of at the time. I think they called it aka pioson because of the overwelming strong pioson taste that the herb had. It is deep pine mixed with pioson flavor that is superb.. It has a potent powerful expando quality to it. Has the hit and taste. The smell is very strong and impressive and makes you want to examine the herb more.
Compared to other OG's such as lets say Larry or SFV the GCM is far more flavorful, potent, overall stronger. It makes other OG's that are also great taste watered down(keep in mind I love SFV and Larry). It's simply the best OG that I've known thus far. BTW I enjoy all the OG cuts but I enjoy the ones that have the true strong OG flavor and potency more.

EnglishRick-Havn't got a chance to try the OGFire. I'm shure its good if Cryp says it is. Isn't that Raskals cut?

tried the SFV, Tahoe, and triple OGs. they were all lanky spindly, non producin plants in my OP. second time around did much better, little heavier buds, but still same type of plants. not the easiest to grow either.

the smoke is excellent, not the most potent ever, but right up there with most good hybrid cuts. tasty tasty smoke, did i say the shit reeks the SFV cut imo is the best of the three, just to tasty. hard hard tight buds. lemon yummy bud.

triple cut was the best yielder of um all, also the stretchiest. more fuel then lemon.

tahoe cut, mucho skunky in my set up. faint lemon under the skunkyness.

couldnt tell ya which is the most potent, they all cash me out. the SFV has that nice bop to the bean right off, nice heady buzz up front.

Many of you guys think that all these different O.G cuts have a name attached for mere marketing purposes, IME the real reason for why there are all these names is B/C of an attempt to simply prevent the spread of misinformation and label cuts that came from different sources within the Los Angeles area. In fact, most of the O.G cuts available were originally known & given out as just plain "O.G Kush" up until recently when an influx of different O.G cuts became availble within the community and further labeling became necessary in order to differentiate the sources of these O.G Kush cuts.

For instance the S.A.C O.G cuts were labled by myself #1-3 so that I could differentiate them within my grow as all three of these cuts came into my garden from different sources. All three of these cuts originally came from S.A.C growers. However, everyone of these "S.A.C cuts" were given to me as plain "O.G Kush." They were not even given to me as S.A.C OG.

I don't know what the joke is about O.G Kush... IMO & seemingly the consensus of the entire region of Southern California, O.G Kush is the benchmark for strain quality in terms of potency & taste. It is annoying that there are so many different cuts, but in reality the majority of all these supposedly different O.G cuts are actually indistiguishable, or nearly indistinguishable from each other... very few are actually exhibit any differences at all. Like "MikieMikee" said the best O.G cut is whatever O.G cut you are able to dial in the best.

I'm very surprised that so many of you claim to have grown Swerve's Tahoe cut as Swerve passed it out to only a handful of friends.

Here's a little breakdown of SCC2's O.G Kush list:
-Tahoe= cut brough into the community by Swerve. The grower that Swerve got it from had sourced the cut in the Lake Tahoe area in the 90's.
-Larry= The Orange County Larry cut that is availble in the medical scene came from the same Orange County crew that the H.A O.G Kush came from
-SFV= There are a million O.G cuts grown in the S.F.V, however the cut that goes by this name on these forums and in medical disp. came from forum member Swerve
-Ghost= This cut came from ORGNKID, ORGNKID had sold a O.G cut to a Overgrow forum member named "Ghost" who further distributed the cut.
-Tripple OG= This cut came from ORGNKID. This cut is A.K.A Triple X/XXX O.G Kush. Triple O.G was popularly sold to medical patients by the now defunct C.A.L.M disp. of Malibu.
-Abusive= This cut was brought into the community by an overgrow member named "Abusive", believe it or not Abusive claimed to have got the cut through the rapper Snoop Dogg.
-SAC#2= Cut brought into the scene by forum member O.Gkushman, O.Gkushman got the cut from DJ Muggs.
-P.R OG A.K.A Private Reserve O.G= Another O.G cut that ORGNKID brought into the scene. The cut was sold to Med patients as Private Reserve O.G through the now defunct C.A.L.M disp. of Malibu.
-Apothecary = O.G cut brought into the scene by the apothecary seed co's Brett. Brett got it from a high profile Medical MJ activist in L.A back in 1999
-Diablo= This = cut came from the R.D.C disp. In the San Fernando Valley
-Raskal's OG= Another cut sourced in the San Fernando Valley. Cut was bought for several thousand dollers from Mexican Mafia members by a friends of forum member OGraskal
-HA OG= Cut came from an commercial H.A room in Orange County, grown by the same crew that brought the Orange County Larry cut into the medical Disp.
-Poison OG=Cut came from O.Gkushman, he grew it from seed found in a pound of O.G back in ‘96
-SAC#1 & #3= #1 came from G-Thumb in the San Fernando Valley, #3 came from San Fernando Valley but is very popular in Santa Barbara and sometimes goes by the name “Purple O.G Kush”, the cut was brought into the scene by the owner of the now defunct Hortipharm in Santa Barbara

-Humbolt OG= ?

-JDOG= JDOG’s "Original O.G cut" has for a long time been debunked as another Bubba Kush cut, this cut bares little resemblance to O.G Kush

Wick, besides the PR, XXX, and Ghost cut, isn't it very possible that MANY of these cuts originated from Orgnkid's seeds?

I was on OG/CW from '00 to '03 or '04, OG and Bubba were never mentioned, that I remember, before Orgnkid showed up. I left the MJ boards about the time Orgnkid started putting out his seeds.

I came back to the boards about a year ago, and there are now multiple OG and Bubba cuts. I don't know what happened during the 3-4 years I was gone, but common sense tells me at least some, if not most, of these cuts came from the Kid's seeds.

Like I said, I wasn't here day-to-day when the Kush explosion happened, so I could be wrong. But my gut tells me I'm not.

I don't think that the internet really represents the real world. While its possible that maybe a few are from orgnkid seed, the majority have been held before the orgnkid seed releases. I do think that most of these cuts came from natural S1 bagseed that were a result of hermy'ed plants, there is no other explanation for so many O.G cuts. A few of them could crosses but if they are crosses than they def. were selected from O.G dom phenos B/C they are all nearly identical

the majority of OGK's are chemdawg S1's. ive grown SFV and abusive. ive smoked the fire cut, ghost, XXX kush and the hells angel cut. they were all grown out ver very great. all organic 10 weeks....no club pot either. im not saying their not good but to say that OGK sets the benchmark is a bold statement IMO.

i also agree that alot of these og cuts that are poppin up are comin from sources that have no clue to the internet 'scene'. I know my buddy who has a "Valley OG" has had his for over 3 years. He has no clue to any of this cannabis/growing forums, and neither does the source from which he first got his cut. Both are simply dudes who grew up in the simi/sfv valley area and have been smokin the og for nearly 10 years.
So no doubt there have been lots of people with no relation to overgrow or ic, and have been growing they're cuts of "og kush". Nothin more, all these different growers had they're very own OGs. They all known them simply as og kush.
Like ive read wick mention, all the different names are simply to differentiate where the cuts have been sourced.

As for the valley og kush i smoke, i even think its different than swerves SFV cut. Which only adds to the confusion, so i try not to really mention it. We simply have always known it as "the Valley" or "Valley OG". Ive heard mention of people sayin it could be a "valley 91" cut. i dont really know
There is also a "Victorville OG" that the same source of this valleyog had as well.

As for trying to rank all the ogs, its all subjective.
Its hard to get an accurate ranking cause very few people have experience growing all of the cuts mentioned. Even for the ones who have grown several, they all or so very similar its hard to really decide how to properly rank them. Who really cares which og kush 'cut' is the best. As long as it has that lemon fuel skunk pine smell/taste, hit you in the face expando smoke and that one of a kind high... Who cares
If you have an OG, and you personally find it to be desirable then be happy and dont worry about all the other og's out there... It will only drive you nuts

Ive smoked the chem 4, chem d, headband , PureK, Pre98, and a CRAZY original haze.
For my own personal preference i find the og kush to be more potent.
However i would agree that those all are on par with the og, and all keepers.
I havent had the pleasure of trying any of the others...
And the ones i tried were all not from dispensaries/ very well grown.
I would however find the chem 4, d, headband, PK and bubba to be more potent than the Ghost cut

you havent smoked my headband cut. its not the 707 cut that floats around. weve just sent it to a few people to verify the cutting as the real thing or not. the cut i have is very dark green where the 707 cut is a lite green.
