I just scored a cabinet like this one in like new condition!

With the adjustable shelves, this look like a good cab for my 150 HPS. However, with a interior footprint of 36" x 18", should I build a reflector to take up some of the width or is this a good size?

If you've got the space for a reflector, it couldn't hurt (unless it was poorly designed).

Yeah, sense you have plenty of vertical space in a cab like that, get a reflector.

I'm not certain, but I don't think you can get a 150hps in mogul socket size.

Yep, you can. I have one! And if you go to Home De Pot, you will usually find two sizes of 150HPS bulbs: Medium, and Mogul!

just an update on my 150w HPS grow. This is week 4 for these girls

Have no other pix of this grow other than what has already been posted here. Had a few problems and the plant didn't look that photogenic the closer to harvest that I got.
This is my harvest from 1 Bubba Kush under my tiny 150HPS organic soil scrog. Well, more like an arena scrog because I dished my 12X18" screen quite a bit. Dried but not quite cured and I'll end up w/just under 2 oz of some pretty nice smoke. Has a very nice aroma in the bag.

Looks good, smoketrics.
I would suggest that you try to take the glass off and compare temps.
I tried mine with the glass on, and the radiant heat from the glass increased temps mucho! Much cooler with it off. Not to mention that you will probably double the energy power as that glass is super thick.

I said almost the exact same thing to him in his thread. He doesn't have anything to check temps yet so he's "not too worried."

I put a piece of regular thin glass on my 150 and it helped while it was summer to control the heat. I have since fixed my ventilation problem. After reading your post and replies yesterday I went home last night and took off the glass. I was amazed at the amount of extra light that it produced. I didn't realize the glass was preventing so much light from getting through, but it was.

Take it off!

got a hygrometer and took the glass off yesterday. temps around 80 during the day and 76-78 at night. Have some updated pics at end of week.
