Currently put on hold, due to the divorce digging very far into my pockets child support wise. Id rather not get into that. :cuss:

I do have a current build going (this one I pretty much had all the materials for) it is a 1200watt aeroflo just look in my sig

The room is in an unfinished basement. Plans are to put two 4x8 tables in two rooms controled by a flip/flop. I was going to try and get away with using only one ac but I will just use two. I want the room/s to be sealed so that means buying double everything other than the ballast which will be 1000,s

I'm not an HVAC guy ...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Here's the thing - the way you are showing this, you're drawing air from the basement into your grow area and exhausting it out thru the vents. An a/c in the grow area isn't going to be doing much cooling because you are constantly replacing the air. So, you need to cool the whole basement, then the air you suck into the grow area will be cool.

I guess the good news is that you only need one a/c to do this.

Does the ex know where you live? Is she spiteful?

To only use one AC, you may need a lung room. The A/C would cool a small room, then you would have fans with timers/temp controllers pushing it into the two rooms.

Your pic is not showing up for me but you dont want to exhaust the room if you are cooling it.

It may be easier to just use two A/C's

Have you thought about a 3-way motorized damper so you could pump A/C into both rooms during lights on with just the one fan. The dampers are like $100 but it's cheaper than buying two vortex's.

Edit: Don't listen to me. I can't find any of the "3-ways" and single dampers are between $50 and $100 so I guess you'd need two dampers, two timers, and a Y-connector. Not so much cheaper I guess. I'm just gonna sit back and hit the bowl now. :joint:

I am no A/C expert but I am thinkink you are going to be using electricity regardless.

You still have the same amount of heat that has to be cooled whether if its from one one unit or two.

COuldnt you just connect the two rooms with a couple loops to prevent light leaks and keep both rooms at the same temp?

Dual A/c's may be desirable if you want to keep rooms at different temps during lights on/off.

Seems complicated to me.

its a large swamp cooler. It will add humidity I think.

This is how I vent my lights and AC.

The front. (i split my 6" to two 4" to get in between the studs.)

This is the back the box covers the 2 ducts and the ac.

Nice are you just using that one fan? How many lights are you venting? This is why I love this place so much a picture is worth a million words.

Thanks

its venting 2 600 watt lights and a 400watt and thers an aux 4" can pushing air through the 400 but thers another opening.. That is a 8" vortex with 6" duct

Sorry to hear about the bad news. I'm here with ya when you get ready to build!! You have a lot of ambition which is KEY. K+ Bro and congrats on the divorce.

These new buyers put an earnest money deposit down?

Good luck! I hope you can wait until your situation is 100% stable before pushing ahead, and it would also be a good thing to double-check the ex situation - your house sale problem has probably already given you some time to evaluate :)

Looking forward to seeing what you're coming up with.

Its cool bro. Most of us REAL growers understand the 6 Ps. Go ahead and do your thing. If it takes a bit longer to get some eye candy for us, so be it.

for cooling both rooms why not use dual-zone mini-split ac unit. I hear Mitsubishi and Fujitsu make really good ones. Do a search on here for mini-spit ac and there are some good threads about them.

I have the same thing going on. Just got divorsed and started growing. I will have to take in easy at first, since the divorse got in to my wallet.
I have 2x400, ligthmover small ac, fans for flower. Some cfls for veg.
I found the ducting is pain in the ass to do. I made 2x 6 vents trough the roof. Other has 750cmh inline fan at the addict connected to scrubber, and another has 450cmh for cooltubes. The air for cootubes is taken from outside.

Take your time if you can. No point in hurrying things.
Sorry my spelling...
