The best outdoor pot I've ever smoked was in Phuket. It absolutely blew my mind, and we smoked a fatty between 4 people. I couldn't believe how potent it was.

The tiger stuff to me is most likely Northern Lao as it borders Yunnan and hence there is a lot of Chinese influence in the area.

Invite an old fart who tried the real deal in the 70's to sample what you have :) I was fortunate enough to get a few real thai sticks when a Senior in HS visiting a friends brother going to a local university. $15 to $20 for a pencil/pen sized amount of weed tied around a small stick -- laced with opium allegedly. Best stuff I have had in my life. Maybe a bit of nostalgia there, and the only other stuff around at the time was cheap mexican weed, so not much of a contest. One bong hit, and wow. Nothing comparable until the sensimilla of the early 80's hit the market.

you would know if it had opium on it......opium has a strong pepper smell...very much unlike weed

i saw ones as thick as my finger before....they had a stick too....log time ago tho

man id love to have 1 real stick to keep in a jar and preserve

it's my understanding that the "laced" sticks were done by usin the left over water from the heroin production, the weed was dried as usual, then soaked in this water, then re dried

Someone did translate the Chinese characters, and it does just say 'Old Tiger'...:)

As for origins, the borders of Cambodia and Laos meet at the top of Thailand and the Mekong River flows along them from China, so it's possible it's shipped into China before tying. Dunno - maybe the label is just from the distributor who shipped it over here, and they happen to be Chinese?

But they've been regular here for two years now, and supply seems pretty constant. The thread color doesn't necessarily denote quality, as I've seen some lousy red thread stuff, but this is bomb - very strong and up, but much more tranquil than most sativas - superb cure too. Whoever is growing/shipping this stuff is taking great care, and clearly knows their smoke.

Other irony is that I just posted some of these Thai seeds to someone in Thailand...:)

Then get into the f2 gen & find broads with a disposition of sativa veg (budstack along the length of the primaries)+ afghan bud (chunky through n through) & you'll have all that is what we're lookin for, & will always look for...
