ADVISE FOR KEEPING SOUR D MOTHER please

anyone else find it hard to keep diesel mothers aroundf or more than one crop?my friend has grown out the legendary reekingass weed severaltimes. loves everything about it, but this is how his process goes : 12 clones are grow out till 10 clones can be taken off each. these are grow out and in the mean time 12 cuts are taken off of the original 12 which continued to veg. problem with this mostly sative really gros like one. very stretchy. there is no way for him to keep the moms a resonable size to take clones frr more than 2 crops. hes had other moms for a year befor he makes a new one. On top of that the whole clone of a clone of a......... thing that is said to deflate vigor. pleaae help as i am apatient and cannot live without his sour lemonfuel. Any suggestions or tecniques from people growing sativas that need to keep mothers?? please help my friend.

you could gift the clones out so everyone has them then as when you need some=D jk i found the best way to keep sativas as moms is the paperclip method or just a basic lst that way you can have 3ft worth oof plant in a 6 inch space

thank all replies. he uses the bonsai method for indica strains and works perfectly. The d just stretches soo much it wont work. anyone with actual sativa mother keeping experience?

why not jusy keep a dedicated mother in a big ass pot of soil off to the side of the grow? Every few weeks do some maintence - either take cuts or "mow the lawn".

If the lights are on in veg 24/7 then the temos will be concstant and intenode length will be tight if there is dark time any difference in temp will result in more stretchy stretchy.

BTW my MTF & Grape Romulans are 50% sativa and I bonsai them in 1g pots no problem.
