adding pH down,.. yet again. still no idea why mine rises slowly, although it does appear to be slowing down.

nice setup i especially like the water cooler idea thats effin genius

i have never tried growing black dom. but a friend of mine did and he had problems with the consistency of the seeds so he just picked a mom and takes clones

but the smoke from the black dom is WELL worth the effort its a high like none other !!

great growing tho your lladies look gorgeous

5.93pH (1.5 upswing in 2 days,.. getting better, less movement)
309ppm (over the last week its dropped from 324 so i think this is good movement, think im going to go up to like 340 with todays feeding)
69.5F res temp (my chillers da bomb!)

Adding 3 gallons to feed and bring pH down just now, water level is about 1/2 an inch under the net pots.

adjusted readings post feeding to come...

Yea best to do 1-2 plants in a scrog in a big ass tub like that... at least once you get a mother plant set that would probably be the way to go... plants are looking mighty fine tho :joint:

I found signs of a lil cal/mag deficiency on this one leaf earlier today so I added more cal/mag. Going to try and stick to 5ml per gallon from here on out. I was at 3.5 when I first made the mix.

what up with the leaf curling? Too close to the light? at the moment that leaf is 11" from the cooltube, fan blowing across everything as well. Room temp around 81F.

Today while chopping up the one male (a kali mist) I found a few days ago (waited a bit to be sure) I noticed something I had never seen before and thought id take a pic as i don't think its something ya get to see that often. The trunk of the plant was hollow, like a fertilizer pipeline :muahaha:

Hello... some fine genetics you have there. Some say the best Sativa (me) and Indica (a friend). Nice little set up. Do you mind if I make a couple of suggestions?

That black res. will soak up a lot of light and convert it to heat. I like to paint mine with white Krylon paint. Helps keep the temps down and directs the light back to your daughters.

Nice looking plants. I have been thinking about some Black Domina myself. Will be interesting to see her grow.

The Kali is an excellent plant. Great choice! Serious Seeds rock!

My res running as low as 65F at night and only 70 during with the light on during the day I'm not really worried about it. And from what I've read mj doesn't use reflective light, maybe a little but very little if any and I've also read the under sides of the leaves don't utilize any. Plus with the SCROG I'm going to do no light will even hit the res, almost none does now as it is. It would be a decent idea for anyone with high res temps to try though.

Wasn't talking about the temps of your res. I was referring to the fact you are growing Sativas (Kali) under a 400w. Those are tall lanky plants even when SCOG'd and light concentration is crucial.

Reflected light is light. Light stays the same unless the energy is changed to another form like when it is absorbed by objects. Where are you reading this info.... and underside of leaves don't use light? What? Chlorophyll changes the energy of light into chemical energy for the plant.... it isn't particular to the angle the light hits it from.

Only reason I even suggested was cause you said this was your 2nd grow. Was just trying to help out. You need to read up on those subjects. Not sure what forums you are referring to but been on line since OG first started and have over 30 yrs of growing as well as a degree in a related field and have never heard anyone state those concepts. May have something to do with why your yield was lacking the first time around.

Not wanting to argue or be pissy.... information is offered in kindest intentions.

We can agree to disagree on the under side of leaves being able to use light, although it sure makes me wonder why they all grow the same way in nature if it didn't matter (I'm not making it up though, that's just what I read somewhere once and it makes sense) sames goes for the effectiveness of reflected light, and mj's specific ability to use it, agree to disagree. But you cant ignore the fact that there is very little light even now hitting my res, and wont be any here soon enough, so my point about making it reflective is valid. It would serve about as much purpose as putting a mirror in the next room over. Not that I'm saying I know it all by any means. What I'm saying just makes logical sense to me. And just to clarify this is my 2nd "hydro" grow, I've grown soil a few times before, and yields last hydro grow (which were still the most I've ever gotten) were lacking because I didn't feed and monitor ppm and pH movement right. Thus why I'm being so meticulous now. You couldn't be more right about the sativa's being tall lanky plants though, the Haze is insane! Every time I go in there it makes me feel I need to raise the light! :bashhead:

Soon as I can sex them all I'm going to slap that fence over them all. Pour short lil Black Domina is like wait up for me guys! lol

All your feedback and ideas are welcome though, even if I disagree :rasta:

I grow a Black Domina ( Read sweet afghan delicious from sweet seeds). She is the bread in butter of my garden. I hope you're able to bring out a she beast soon. I'm sure you wont be disappointed. Good luk with your grow, you got my attention.
