so I figure you are pulling a little more than half a gram per watt/5-6 grams per plant??

if you veg the gdp an extra two-three weeks do you see any noticeable difference in yield??

five pounds is not a bad harvest at all...I guess I was thinking they were bigger than that though but you said you vegged em to just one foot so they can't be packin on too much weight I suppose. Either way, totally awesome and inspiring.

one more question...you refer to the plants on the table as being "in trays"...are the root systems shared and fed by flood/drain in each white tray or have you got them each in there own container?? I'm assuming they are all in there own containers....if so...what size container are you using?? and also...do you have your water/nutrients running to each pot individually like a drip feed or are you flooding the tray....I would imagine the tray is there for flooding if they are in there own containers...sorry for all the questions...just curious if there is more than meets the eye going on.

Have fun trimming all that!! ;)

oh ya; yeild for just the trays not inclduing the moms should be from 4lbs to possibly 5 when fully dried and cured( unlike many online growers i like to post my true yield, not when it is still alittle wet).

a pound per light sounds about right!
go ebb n flow coco!

most purps can be taken at 7 weeks but there will little to no color but the high is very nice and manyprefer purps that have not turned purp because the high is very differnt then when they r dark purple. to get them to turn purple it usually takes a full 60 to 70 days and te cooler the temps the quiker they wil tunr. i like letting the purps go about 65 days and keeping the room temos about 65 to 70 the last 14 days. thats in a perfect world of course. i have grown 3 different purple erkles, 2 different gdps including kens gdp and a mendo purps. this grow is K's GDP which seems to be the best yielding of all of em and turns purp w/ the best of em.

actually if u let the purps go an extrat 2 or 3weeks during veg and flower them at 18 to 24inches u get alot more yield but thats a 5 to 6 week veg. do that all year and u only get 3 harvests while if u go only 2 or 3 weeks u get 4 harvest. so in the long run u r better flipping them sooner rather then later. i have seen gdp veged for 2 months and flowerd at about 30" w/ great success but damn it thats a long time to veg for me. i have always grown SOG so for me to even go 2 weeks of veg is a long time.

the purps dont realy stretch much u flower em at 12" they end up 18 or 20". u flower em at 24" they end up 32 or so.

the plants r each in 1gallon round pots. i believe they r 6" in diameter. but there is a 1/2" coir mat that lines the entire 4x8 area of each table so the rootsystem ends up flowing under and through the coir mat. heres a pic of an old grow. my gallery is full of my set ups and past grows over the last 2 1/2 years.

i ebb flow nowdays. i ran top feed for years but the last few years ebb flow has proven to be as good to me and its easier.

wow, i gotta give ya some karma points,
it seems you're dialed in nice,
does she grow slow for you?
i have the royale GDP, the other GDP you were talkin about probably...
seems GDP is slow as hell. compared to my bubblegum and such.
glad to see that grape flavor living on in someone's garden.
people always hate on people for growing purple, like we are just
cash croppers or somethin... callin GDP "work", saying it sucks, etc etc
all i know is it will always be pleasurable to me to grow and smoke.
the grape flavors are my FAVORITE in our sacred herb.
glad you are having fun and smoking some grapes.

So, is this grow already done? I know thats been a trend in the past. I assume you're waiting on the final weight.... quite commendable to be honest... most, obviously aren't.

I saved your old post at AN, trying to get 2lbs per light with 49 one gallon pots in a 4x4 tray, how the HELL did you get 392 plants in a 8x8 space? are some double potted? I would like to try this out, maybe I can get 1gpw this way. And you say about 4lbs dry, lets say you only get 7 grams per plant, times 392 thats over 6lbs ( by the way Im not disputing anything you have posted, Your one of my fav growers from AN, JUST TRYING TO STEP MY GAME UP)

PEACE

the nutes used were an 2 part(not connie) big bud overdrive and some b52. a little fulvic acid each week and barricade to bring the ph up. and humbolt nutes myco madness. i am done growing for the next 6 month to a year but if or when i grow again i will not be using any AN nutes. i am switching to humbolt nutes.

i do not have any pics of the other gdp or the urkles i had b4. that was last year this year i only have the k's gdp.

im a cash cropper, fuck em if they dont like it. i dont smoke weed i grow and sell it for profit. although it is a special plant and hobbie to me thats the way it is.
gdp grows slow comapared to many other strains but it is well worth it.

we r waiting for the final weight. i dont think it is even cut down just yet. i think we r cutting this weekend. at about 65 days.

yayarea, ur right my math was wrong. 98 plnts in each of 2 4x8 trays equals 196 plants pluss the mothers around the outside of the trays.

from clone i do put them right into the 1gallon pots. the roots seem to do well that way. especialy in coir and perlite mix the mix never stays so wet it drowns the roots but it is always something u have to be careful w/. i always wait till the pot is dry b4 i water. sometimes that is every 3 days sometimes it is everyday.

thanks for the compliments! i am somewhat humble nowdays though. growing is hard work and is rarely easy. those that say growing is easy r often the least experienced. those that admit it is hard and admit to making mistakes from time to time r the ones w/ the most experience i have found. trust me when i tell u that i generally do not post my fuck ups.LOL!!LOL!! but when one comes off like this i am more then willing to post up and respond to questions. i can tell u most everything i have done right but it is damn hard to explain everything i have done wrong. my biggest screw up over the years has been overfeeding esp during veg. no matter how damn much i think i know i still make dumb mistakes from time to time that cost me big money.

so my gallery has some nice grows i will admit but i have a way of leaving out my mistakes  . i must say though that i have a bunch of other great grows that r not posted in my gallery. and the clone factory pics do not do justice for what it looked like 2 months later. i had 4-1kMH and a 1k HPS over 130 full size mothers 3' to 4' and all bushes and was selling from 1000 to 4000 clones each month. i had 2 guys working 30hrs a week each in there at the hight of it all. the good ol days!

thanks for the info... now when you say you wont be using AN nutes...is there a reason??? I am new to all this and keep it very simple with just AN base and added BigB but thats all in Sunshine mix but I am having problems with having to veg for 6 weeks to hit weight ...I need a new methond but your method has way to much plant count...also did you happen to top your plants??? how lond did you veg b4 flipping??? thanks again..
