Timer failure

I have 240v HID lights on one timer/lighting controller, and another set of 125w CFLs on another 120v timer. The 120v timer recently failed (didn't turn off) and noticed it for the first time at lights-off.

I've been told that cannabis only cares about the length of the night, and not the length of the day... theoretically increasing the length of this grow by 1 day, and no real negative side effects? How about on very sensitive strains? Especially concerned about the Bubblegum from BlueSky cafe which is documented to be very sensitive to stresses...

I am at day 27 of flowering.

as you suspect, some strains are more sensitive to stress and light leaks than others. i'd say worst case they hermie, best case you're fine. they may or may not take longer to finish.

depends on bit on exactly how much light we're talkin about - all strains can take SOME, or outdoors the moon and stars would fuck all plants up pretty bad

i dont think you have much to worry about if its just a day.. with my grow i try to keep in mind how mother nature gets sometimes and there are times when its a lil more dark or a lil more light in nature.

so to have it happen in our closets/cabs shouldn't be that much of a concern. now if it were like a week or two straight, then you may have something to worry about.

Get a digital remote thermometer

Get a digital remote thermometer

Get a digital remote thermometer so that you can monitor the temps rising when the lights turn on and conversely monitor the temps dropping when the lights turn off. That way, you know the lights are cycling on and off without having to actually go into your grow room. I still check mine once a day but I run the lights at night to save energy. The remote thermometers are cheap and seem to have good range.
