H E L L O MyohoDisco, I am standing on a sunny hill overlooking a light green valley watching you dance around the Tiger Stone. Your face is full of joy! You are pretty much flying bro, you know,........it's hard to keep your feet on the ground with so much positive energy everywhere. Just remember to get some rest,..... good rest is priceless with all the compacted days you have brother..........Blessings & Respect bro.........Desi!

I really appreciate that, likewise, I'm very excited with anticipation for the news when your Gohonzon is enshrined in your currently empty Butsudan! That my brother is the benefit. Gohonzon is The Key. Myoho-renge-kyo is The Law and we're The Bodhisattvas! Keep rocking on, all my best to Ann.

Thanks everyone for the great hellos and amazingly encouraging messages! Good times ahead for all but first, some mountains to climb...
Be GOOD!

Understanding the Law of Life (Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo) to avoid collisions
By Buddha in Daily Life, Richard Causton, pg.29

In the same way, when living in accordance with the Law in the depth of life, human beings will not uselessly collide with one another. They will not come into conflict with each other on account of minor negative feelings such as jealousy, hatred and arrogance, thus creating unhappiness and misfortune for themselves. Therefore, when we chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo with deep faith, we call forth the power to be able to develop a noble life-condition and respect and cherish one another with mind as vast as the sky and the sea.”[/B]

(The Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin states that the root causes of the sufferings in the world are incorrect philosophies on which people base their lives in thoughts, word and deed. Buddhism presents the way to know ourselves by illuminating our lives with an awareness of our potential rather than our limitations. Such a positive stance enables us not only to tackle the difficulties in our lives, but also to be able to look outward to society with hope and courage.)

We work great together! You're providing the text, and I'm putting it to practice. I'm sure many others get revved up when we feel new areas of our lives and practice become illuminated with compassion and wisdom (faith). I'm very pleased to be chanting for your life Socal, as I chant for those I always mention as well. My best to you and yours!

No matter what happens, please continue to chant daimoku -- in both
good times and bad, irrespective of joys or sorrows, happiness or
suffering. Then you will be able to seize victory in your daily life
and in society.

"A hundred years of practise in the Land of Perfect Bliss cannot compare to the benefit gained from one day's practise in the impure world."

"Expressions of gratitude can be looked upon as evidence of a person's way of life and philosophy. Those who do not allow themselves to become self-centred, who realise that every positive accomplishment is in part due to the support of others, naturally feel gratitude for the assistance they have received. In contrast, self-centred people who take the efforts of others for granted do not feel appreciative. They're always filled with complaints and dissatisfaction.

"Friendship is deepened by feeling grateful for another's support, expressing that feeling to others, and trying to reciprocate that support in some way."

Buddhism concerns itself with victory or defeat.
Those who emerge victorious (from challenging adversities)
will certainly accumulate great benefit and good fortune for all eternity.
Courageously putting our faith into action,
let's stand up on our own two feet.
And by carefully making sure to have ironclad unity between us all,
let's be absolutely victorious!

Powerfull and very close to my heart and my soul. Those who fall off that horse and dont GET BACK ON, However will certainly end up walking........backwards. However, its never too late to get back on. One thing that really held me back was a sense, actually the Devil of the Sixth Heaven trying to stop me from getting back on. Actually tried to make me believe that i was being judged by My Gohonzon! THE GOHONZON DOES NOT JUDGE! It is all accepting and beyond that, LOVING! When we get back on the Gohonzon arms are open as wide as can be, we just need never forget that.

Trippy lil thing, i was talking to Babba on the way to get my new computer, yup ya'll heard me right. im back online!! And with a more powerfull. faster turbocharged unit, more about that later. Trippy thing was when i got home T called me and i was stoked allmost too much for one nite!! he he he!! I mean feelings of such POSITIVE energy they creep up and down your spine like your head is gonna pop off from so much positivity, wooooo! gives me the chills! (the good kind! :) )

So back to the trippiness, i was talkin' to T and after a bit i mentioned i had moved my Butsudan/Gohonzon and he just jumped for joy! You see we have chanted in front of my Gohonzon on more than one occasion, allways good, however, when i got the response i did from The Big Homie, the chills multiplied, you see i cherrish my Gohonzon but in the depths of my heart i knew it was not happy where it was and T knew this but being the kind est most awesome dude he is , he didnt want to suggest i move it in fear of hurting my feelings, i love ya Big Homie!! So its new home is incredible, i get a n entirely different feeling sitting in front of it, as i told T "it LOOKS happy!!" kinda kooky i know but it is true and its heavy. My chanting has takin on a whole new reality.

Im so stoked and pumped when i chant its hard to describe, those chills again!! WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!

I HAVE A REALLY NEAT STORY ABOUT HOW I GOT BACK ONLINE BUT ILL SAVE IT FOR TOMORROW!!!!

DESI!! You are getting your Gohonzon enshrined? WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! do you have a Butsudan? one that you like and that gives you those chills? If not i would like you to have the one i made, you are so special to me bro, chills, please let me know, consider it OK?

i have pics of it.

This Buddhism is the Buddhism of 'True Cause'*.
"I'm going to advance even more, from now!"
"Right, from this moment, I'm going to start afresh!"
Always renewing our resolve with such spirited fresh determination,
let's all develop a great future!

Daisaku Ikeda

*Regarding the spirit of true cause, SGI President Ikeda said in a dialogue with young people, "The past is the past and the future is the future. You should keep moving forward with a steady eye on the future, telling yourself, "I'll start from today!' 'I'll start afresh from now, from this moment!' This is the essence of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism of True Cause, the spirit of starting from the present moment. This is the heart of our daimoku" (World Tribune, November 1, 1996, p.11).

I renew every morning first thing when I take my dog for his walk.....I chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo to nature. It feeds my 'faith' it's breakfast for the long day ahead. My faith is very hungry and needs attention constantly.....it always craves more. I think sometimes my faith in Nichiren Buddhisim is an endless well of inspiration that drives me in a 'positive direction'.

I know,.... my Gohonzon is my dinner that will give each day a meaningful ending with a full belly of hope and good cause to help all life conditions.

Respect to ALL!!!..........Desi

No Greater Joy

No Greater Joy

In the words of SGI President Ikeda: "[Buddhahood] is the joy of joys. Birth, old age, illness and death are no longer suffering, but part of the joy of living. The light of wisdom illuminates the entire universe, casting back the innate darkness of life. The life space of the Buddah becomes united and fused with the universe. The self becomes the cosmos, and in a single instant the life flow stretches out to encompass all that is past and all that is future. In each moment of the present, the eternal life force of the cosmos pours forth as a gigantic fountain of energy" (July 1998 SGI Quarterly, p. 28)

This makes me think of a beautiful seed of life..........the seeds transfered here on ICMAG without discrimination available to all kinds to find the kind of plant that best suits ones needs. It's everyones faith here on ICMAG that makes all these seeds sprout to become life forces that do good upon everyone they touch.

Thankyou Gypsy & Dutchgrown for all the opportunity you both have provided to an unknown amount of folks seeking a better life that is provided from one seed of life.

Love you all, Desi!!!

The Daishonin encourages us,
"Each and every one of you should be certain deep in your
heart (that sacrificing your life for the Lotus Sutra is
like exchanging rocks for gold or dung for rice)."*
Especially when the crucial moment comes,
let's summon up all our courage and resolutely challenge ourselves
to overcome any situation,
for the sake of achieving kosen-rufu
and for the sake of our own lives!

"The section from the 'Expedient Means' (2nd) chapter of the Lotus Sutra that we recite during gongyo each morning and evening includes the phrase 'exerting oneself bravely and vigorously' (cf. LS2, 23). Shakyamuni uses this phrase in describing his practise in past lives to his disciple Shariputra. Later, in the 'Emergence of the Treasure Tower' (11th) chapter, Shakyamuni declares that all Buddhas will praise those who uphold and propagate the Lotus Sutra with 'valour' and 'diligence' amid great hardships in future ages after his passing (cf. LS11, 180-81).

"Exerting oneself bravely and vigorously--with valour and diligence--is the essence of Buddhist practise and the hallmark of the shared commitment of teacher and disciple."

To be honest, I live in a climate zone where at the present time period, give or take 5-10 years, winter can turn to spring in the dead of winter, but never ever back to fall or summer. So is the spirit of Buddahism,..........forward ho we go, .......until eternity!...........lets make life an eternal party..........got to sign off.....the trees outside are sounding scary to Ann!...........Wind oh wind, blow me away today!........Desi!

"Norman Cousins (1915-90), an American journalist and peace activist, who later went on to become a medical school professor dedicated to exploring the mind-body connection in health and healing, is an unforgettable friend...

"Dr. Cousins wrote: 'The greatest force in the human body is the natural drive of the body to heal itself--but that force is not independent of the belief system [of the human being]' which can translate expectations into physiological change. Nothing is more wondrous about the fifteen billion neurons in the human brain than their ability to convert thoughts, hopes, ideas, and attitudes into chemical substances. Everything begins, therefore, with belief. What we believe is the most powerful option of all [with regards to healing].' Belief is the origin of all things, and the ultimate form of belief is faith in the Mystic Law."
