We are sooooo proud in TB about our guys winning the ALC and I have tickets to the game Wednesday and Thursday night per Rays lottery...YEEHAW!!!!!!! Last night was wild in the "BURG" and fireworks and stoned and drunk people celebrating in the streets and at The Pier...


Go All The Way TAMPA BAY RAYS!

Last year we were in last place and now we will be in first place....what a come back! Last year we won the Stanley Cup and this year are hosting the Super Bowl and our local economy needs the stimilus of these events.

Sports and Tampa Bay! Can't beat that mix. :laughing:

Hey they do their camp here ....Phillies that is.....but the Rays have come a long way. The Yankees train here also and Stienbrenner lives here. Lots of Yankee fans here in Florida of course.....but the RAAAAAYYYSSS! are so cool... ODDS were 100 to 1.....wish I had some of that action.....

some Rays were campaigning for Obama yesterday and hangin' out with Obama after his speech here...who is a Sox fan though....He was here in town speaking at the Yankee Ballpark here in Tampa. The Vinoy Hotel is full of Phillie players and fans. Hotels are bulging with media and fans.....my son owns a restaurant here and times have been harder here naturally with crappy economy... Citizens are putting blue lights on their porches and cutting their hair in Mohawks and dyeing their hair BLUE and ringing COWBELLS thru the city .

RAYS FEVER......I have never seen anything like this. Tampa Bay has
"Blue Ray Fever"

GO RAYS!!! GO RAYS!!! GO RAYS!!! YEEHAW!!!!!!!!! (cowbell ringing} LOL!!! :dueling:

Congrats Rhode Island for legalizing MMJ.....hope Florida follows....I heard NH got it legalized also....JUST MAYBE THERE IS HOPE FOR THE EAST COAST!!!!!

I'm a Sox fan but congradulations to the Rays and all their fans. In truth I didn't think the Sox would make it past the Angels in the playoffs but they did and they did give the Rays all they could handle but we just got beat by a better team. Good luck in the series!

GO RAYS! We are really goin' crazy here and blue lights on everybody's porch and huge Ray parties and we have tickets to game one and two,,,but 48% of the World Series games require 7 games to finish. Good for our local economy as bars, hotels , and business is booming and one big party here, The Phillies train here yearly so they do have their fans as most Phillies end up here anyway eventually. Will report back tomorrow on game highlights and local RAY FEVER!

My 10 month old grandson has a blue mohawk even now.....and a baby cowbell......cowbells are sellin' out here even.

wish I was down there with you feeding off the vibes, I know just what you mean. It's like no matter where ya go there's something in common amongst everyone, you wonder if they're thinking just what you're thinking now.

SOOOOO IT AIN'T OVER YET PHILLIES!!!!!

But in truth I like the Phillies as they train here each year and are part of our community here...But the Rays have come a long way for a new team. We are fighting here about building them a new waterfront stadium,,,but The Trop ain't that old even...has to be put to a vote and it divides the city...

As for "only old geezers in St.Pete" AKA the "BURG" for us locals...

perty much true INDEED!!! BUT there is a thriving young crowd here from the great colleges and universities here locally.....CENTCOM is here and lots of military from ALL OVER THE WORLD are training at Mac Dill AFB.....

Central and Beach Ave are happenin' these days with music...arts and cultural exchange!! Exciting city for me a "Misplaced Texan" who came here at 38 years old as a military wife and now am STUCK HERE! So I make the best of it... Great Beaches...people from all over the world come here to play in the "American Riviera" LOL...

And yes my dear...I am "OLD"

60 freakin' years old! But 60 is the new 40 here and my dance card is quite full.......

But never trust anybody over 90.......LOL!

Hey I went to college here at SPC when my kids were in high school and imagine my pleasure when I found out that Jim Morrison of the Doors had attended that college in the sixties as his dad was a Col. at the AFB locally.....

I could feell his aura as I walked the halls there,,,,not really....but I like to think so...LOL!

St. Pete can be fun and exciting ya know...

And WE ARE WINNIN' THAT DAMN GAME TONIGHT DAMNIT!!!!!!!!
