Not really sick but need some help

This is my first hydro attempt ,Ive had success outdoors thougt I wolud give it a try.Im using a diy DWC set up.Plants seem healthy this is 4 weeks from germ.My problem being is I set it up like a garden 2 10 inch pots with 5 in each.I never considered when I remove the males I could end up with root rot or a similiar problem.Ive posted in the grow forum and havnt got any real help besides cloningThe only ideas I can come up withis:
1 revert after sexing
2 sex and attempt to clone then switch to 5 gallon bucket dwc to prevent any problems
3 breed them Thai x skunk,afghan x mazaar
4 wait till they get another foot tall then go back to idea 2

Im hoping some one can tell me if theres another way to save the fems.

Enzymes is what you need. They eat dead roots and promote the growth of live ones.

any brand name i should look for? Im using the flora seriesfor nutes now.Should I just keep veging or flower now?

Problems I wouldn't want to deal with that I see you might deal with:
1 One plant per pot, gives you the power to remove a problem plant. Roots compete and tangle (locking them together)
2 Take healthy clones and name them before sending into bloom. Once bloom is triggered, reverting a plant to veg takes 3 weeks of hormonal lock up. Regrowth is almost none existant, and changes from stress do occur. Some times not horrible ones but....
3 Bigger pots, being root bound stunts all around growth.

how powerful is your light? depending on that you can decide to let them grow out some more and fill the area or flower now and concentrate them closer

the thai x skunk will be ready to flower earlier she stretches a lot, while the indica will not so much, though my mazar has been climbing recently

1 and 2 are definetly rules to live by in hyrdo setups, but I do not think 3 would count.

jm420: I would sex them, and cut all but two down no matter if they were male or female. Well, for that matter, whatever females you cut down just try to get them to root in a cloner setup. Just make sure you keep one female in each netpot, and continue flowerring those two.

Either before or after doing that, try to clean your roots. Now, i've never experienced true root rot YET, but I add Florolicious Plus to my solution and that stuff is like dirty and make the roots gross looking and slimey. What I do is:
1 - Drain nute solution & clean and dry buckets (or single container in your case)
2 - Refill with 5.8ph plain water
3 - add some tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide (again, your smaller container maybe use teaspoons)
4 - turn on air to the bucket, bubbles help knock crap off
5 - hold "net pot holder" and dunk into the water kinda fast (you may get wet) and lift it out, dunk, lift out dunk lift out repeat. Maybe let it sit in that solution for a couple minutes too.
6 - Drain container, clean, and refill with a bit lighter solution.

If your nutrients do not contain beneficial bacteria, then you could mix some hydrogen peroxide into your new solution. IF your nutrients DO CONTAIN beneficial bacteria, then DO NOT add peroxide.
Peroxide naturally kills bacteria and germs.

I hope this helps you out at all, growing in hydro is so fun!

If you can easily do so now, then sure I dont see why not. After they recover from the transplant, you will notice a nice difference in your plants, I would think anyway.

if you can easily convert that setup into single pots then do it

to fill that space with a few plants for a 400 you will need to veg them longer as well as top and train into a scrog

within that time they should start showing preflowers and you can sex them

Yes jm420, you cut at an angle with a fresh razor blade to take it down. Then stick the hole thing in your clone setup. Look into taking clones, there are different things you can do to your clones before actually sticking them in your cloner.

I believe two plants in that area under a 400 watt HPS will fill it out rather well without having to top. Just tie and train it durring its flower stretch, because it could stretch ALOT. My current girl stretched 2-1/2+ feet when I switched it to 12/12.

But ultimately, if you can convert to single bucket DWC that would be better, and you could flower all females you end up with, IF you have the space for it. Don't let 5 gallon buckets be your only container option either. I am thinking of switching to 4 gallon square plastic pails, there are alot of container choices around.
