Alright i'll get right to the point so i dont ramble on,
I took these cuts on saturday october 10th.
This is the first time ive actually had to do this and all the seeds i had were planted so im counting on these ones and getting as little worried now.
i dont know what info to give to help me out other then there 6 days or so,in peat pucks, plain water, all i used was stim root or something like that. anything is greatly apprecciated.

I second leaf trimming. Cuts don't have what it takes to use or support leaves. Or any thing else, really. I keep my cuts under 3 inches if I can. I believe that's why I can clone dome free.

You'll probably want one for a while. Some misting at least. Try not to overdue either because then you have to wean them back to open air. If you lack an official dome, 2 Liter soda bottles work well.

id agree with the other members posts but the cloner always creates its own humidity and I never found the use of a cover in areo.

Hi, maybe you love them too much and too much watering ?

an humidty dome creates self watering for cutts that have been initialy watered......misting can aid but should not be overdone to rot tops in first few weeks, I find blowing into the propigator once twice a day will create an ideal environment for clones to root in pellets, rockwool or simple pots of cocco or seedling compost in less then a week.

Thanks alot guys i went and got the dome today, i had a top for that tray but it was so low the tops were touching it.

I actually saw a different post of freezerboys a little after i posted, there was a pic with the cuts held up with a tooth pic, and i laughed cause i cut mine so tall, anyway the biggest leaves have been trimmed and the domes on with a little gap in between the lid and tray but the inside of the dome has been dewy all day.

Thanks again everyone

While some use supports, my toothpicks are for ID purposes only. Anything goes male, everything with that color gets pulled. My theory is, the less material there is to support, the less support the plant needs to provide.

Temps

Temps

Temps are prolly the most important thing for growing roots quickly. Target yer medium temps to stay between 75-80 degrees constantly, no matter what medium ya use.... No offence, but I don't agree with cuttin the leaves. Leaves are used by a plant for 2 things. To make food and ta store food. It doesn't matter if it's rooted or not. Those leaves don't need ta be supported, they're there to provide food untill the plant makes roots, or in a rooted plant, to save the grow tips or buds. Ever notice if a clone doesn't take the very last thing to turn yellow is where the growth tip would be? Or if a rooted plant is starving, the last thing ta go will be the buds or the tips where new growth comes from ( ina vegging plant ). The leaves are always sacrificed in order ta save the plant, it somthin the plant does automatically...... I can take clones with 4-5 nodes and leaves as big as yer hand and they'll never turn yellow, ( with the correct temp ). Imo they have much more vigor and root faster, not mention when they do root, they gro -very- fast! much faster and with way more vigor than a small clone with small leaves. Btw, I don't use rooting homones either. I learned this method from a guy at OG, his name was the Tic. There are some fellers here with a thread called, "soggin with the Tic" in there signatures, check it out if ya come across it. That guy was a master at cloning ( and sog! ). lol Anyhoo, it's worked great for me for years. Jus thought I'd pass it along. Take care... BC

Howdy JIP! Good ta see ya man! Now I'm wondering if it's Tic or Tick? LOL! It's been several years. The guy did fantastic work tho! I do know that! I made a cloner like his and took 75 clones, only really wanting 30-35. I think only lost 2! LOL! I didn't know what ta do with em all. I ended up putting 2-3 in each big pot. I can't hardly kill a living plant. hehehe It worked out very well though. I don't run those kinda numbers now, to skeered. I like my freedom to much! Before I made that cloner I used a home made aero cloner with a spinner head on a pump ina 5 gallon bucket. It worked great in the summer, when it was warm. It didn't work in the winter tho. I jus needed ta put a heater in it. I like the cloner/incubator thing better anyway. I can pop beans in this thing and they all pop at the same time. It works very well! I haven't had any problems with clones since I made it. It's mostly due to temps tho. later, BC

What everyone else said is great. But that clearly overwatering that the plants are suffering from. I mean bro they havnt even got roots coming out of the peat pux yet! How are they supposed to take up any water with no roots?

No water at all untill you see at least 10 roots coming out of a puck.. then that one can get watered. Dont trim them, dont do anything. Just leave em be.

Your loving them to death mate

Edit: Mate seriously i hate to see anyone fail. If thats how they looked yesterday they will be dead in a day or two.
A dome will not help you now. It will just trap the moisture and compund the problem.
LIisten to BC the old fart. He knows what he is talking about! Dont trim the leaves.
Heat is good! If you can warm them they might survive.

You said you are counting on these... Do this and they MIGHT survive.

1. No water!
2. No triming!
3. Warmth to the roots!
4. Light

If you have 22c+ temps i would sit them outside in the sun in the day and keep them warm by night by sitting them on something warm. Like in a thin plastic container on a modem or DVD player etc

Until I hit the 75º-80º range, everything died. This is the closest thing I've found to something nearly all cloners agree on. As to leaves or any other technique, it's all Voodoo. Some can't clone without a dome. Domes were my major cause of death. My bubbler killed everything I put in it when used "properly." Modified, it's flawless.

Mix and match; Keep trying stuff until something works.

well said freezerboy ...what works for 1 might not work for another...

ive tryed so meney ways off cloneing and found this to be the best way for me.
i dont use any rooter, just take my cuts put them in peat pellets, dome on , 7 days later roots start showing...1 thing that does happen is i need to ween the cuts out off the dome (only take a day or 2). but i can live with this as the survival rate of my cuts is very good now (only lost 2 in 40)...

B.C ya advice is takeing on board mate..always into learning

U

ureapwhatusow

guess no on notices teh clones swimming in a pool of water

water and then DRAIN THE EXCESS

wanna bred and jpl apparently noticed

T

toba_hoser

The tray is slanted a bit and after i saw them soak up some water i pulledout the little pellet holding one of the corners up and most of the water did drain, i just assumed i should add water as the pucks were all but completly dry.

As for temps im on the top floor of an apartment and its around plus 27 in there and about zero outside.

BC Tick was the man.....those rolling cabinets he had gave me inspiration for my first veg cabinet...just a different way of thinking.

toba hoser this is a picture of my home built cloner. there are two bubble wands on the bottome and the clones sit above the water. the bubbles pop and mist the clones, works great
