Stupid School Politics

The thread about the 13 year old getting the naked pic reminded me of this. a couple of my friends are in their senior years in high school. the girl sarah sent a txt to john asking him if he wanted to buy some weed. he txt'd back with a simple. ill talk to you later. later in the day sarahs phone was taken away and the principal read her texts . after he read them she was expelled which is understandable i guess but not really . they called john down to the office and expelled him too saying that he was going to buy weed. this is the same principal that expelled me for less than a gram of weed in my car with less than a month left of my senior year, but a week earlier he saw the star QB in his car smoking a blunt and doing lines off a book. he walked up to his car and told him to go back to class when he was done. i swear to you i am not making this up. if you can get the school in the paper your safe from any trouble. i guess my point is that its stupid for 2 good students to be expelled for talking about weed but the star football player gets off scott free.

Schools are funny places and the first place that you really learn and understand the phrase "life's not fair". Lucky for me, I always was about to escape the clutches of 'the man' in high school. My thing was a website that was basically a "blog" 5 years before they were actually "blogs". Anyhow...I used it to bitch about teachers and other school stuffs. A couple times got called to the principal's office, but it was always "I've had complaints from techers, but we both know that there's nothing that can be done because there's nothing illegal occuring and none of it is occuring on school premises". Nowdays, I probably would've gotten some sort of punishment, but that's because they're pussyfying our schools and children.

High school is a small microcosm to the real modern-day America. Get used to experiences like this. People like you and I will always get fucked while people of status are allowed to do as they please. I don't agree with it either. If I am a quarterback in the NFL making 15 mil. a year I am going to get away with a hell of a lot more than I could if I am a construction worker making 20 bucks an hour. The 'real world' is fucked.... and a sad place.

thats when coke was goood as fuck and readily available..

Every single teacher/staff at our schools knew who the stoners were and they nver fucked with us.. we even smoked just right up the hill on school property (were smoking cig's was aloud somehow) even the police sittin there never fucked with us! and its not like it was a marijuana friendly state!!
i heard shits changed quite a bit tho...

yea man i think i was born in the wrong era. that school is fucking harsh. heres another example that made CNN headlines. one of the freshman on the soccer team was spanked repeatedly as a joke on the bus back from a tourney. he claimed he was held down and raped by the whole team while on the bus. the whole team was suspended with possibility of expulsion pending an investigation. and the kid is suing the school and the other kids. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO

Maybe i'm old school but i think phones should be banned in schools. They should be policed up at registration and handed back at the end of the day. I've seen the little buggers totally ignoring the teacher while they text their friends. How is that learning?

I totally agree. Most workplaces do not allow employees to talk extensively on cell phones at work; school shoudl be even stricter. I worked as a sub for a while and DAMN the world has changed since I was in HS.

They wouldn't even need to take them away. They could just block the signal so they don't work in the buildings.

the first high school i went to had a cell blocker so you couldnt send txts or call. but the parents said it was not ok if there was an emergency and they had to reach their kids. i moved before anything happened tho so it might not be there anymore.

joke or not if someone doesn't like it they should have stopped, or better yet wised the fuck up and don't do it at all. Hazing is an issue at a lot of schools and a serious one too. Personally I don't like being touched anyway, so when a bunch of guys attack me and start 'spanking' me as a joke I'm going to retaliate. First off, i think spanking another man is a little homo (i don't care if people are gay but i'm not and i don't want to be touched by other men), secondly its embarrassing, and third don't touch me unless I said you could touch me. the third point being the most important one obviously.
If it was me getting spanked i would have got up and beat the ever living piss out of anyone who was involved. not joking either. you better know how to defend yourself because i'm going to try and crack your skull in... and it wouldn't be the first time i've done it. a lawsuit would be the least of your worries.
i remember in high school during PE guys would go around the locker room pulling each others pants down. someone tried to do it to me and they found themselves slammed against a locker.
and as someone said rape ain't not fukin joke... that's exactly what hazing is. rape just ain't male on female. its comes in a lot of different forms.

o dude i know im not trying to make light of the situation rape is a horrible thing. i agree that the some people on the team shouldnt have been hazing him but i dont think he should have blamed the whole team and possibly ruined the futures of good kids (the ones that werent spanking him).

Bah thats why i dropped out in eighth grade and ended up doing five and a half years of my life locked up. Be happy for what you had man. Some of us have seen worse. You wanna talk politics? Go to prison or California Youth Authority. I was expelled for supposedly stabbing someone but the kid did not have not one mark on him. Whatever i rolled with the punches. Life was not meant to be fair. Sorry to be so cynical.
