Going cold turkey is not good on your body at all and the best thing is to ween him off slowly . I quit cold turkey and it was 30 dayz of hell and the worse part is between my back and head I had to start taken them again after 1 1/2 years. Zoo

Years ago I was admitted to the VA Hospital with an abscess from shooting heroin-- I was strung-out to the max...they gave me Clonidine, and it was the easiest "Kick" I ever did!!
Clonidine is a blood pressure medicine, but has been used for decades as a much safer alternative to Methadone--

imo

opiates are the pharmacutical companies method to enslave the every day consumer

much like big tobacco enslaved us in the 1900's

i quit a 240 g a day habit cold turkey - i swear it felt like i was puking from my eyes and the bouts of depression and sorrow were beyond words, i have yet to mention the physical pain the body will be put through

Drug addicts need healing not more pain so i do not suggest cold turkey opiate withdrawl

i found that it was a parasitic drug and took far more from me than it gave

I use to be addicted to opiates, mainly heroin, and I found that using codeine works wonders to help with withdrawls and lowering your need for opiates.

I have bad problems with my shoulder, lower back, hips, and knees, and Indicas are real nice for evening but me being young still, I need stuff for the day, and the best thing for that is a sativa dominant hybrid with some indica resin on it or just mixing different kinds of weed absolutly does well for pain and cravings.

If the doctor could switch him over to a high does of codeine or you can just use less Oxy's a day, but codeine IMHO will work better, because it takes away your cravings and you wont get sick from not having the oxy's, and it is not as addictive, after i stopped using codeine I really didnt have any withdrawls or cravings that bad.

The main ingredient to my recovery is smoking weed, no matter what else i use along with it i always smoke, and just not one strain seems to work the best, I definatley believe in mixing your herbs, because i think the different terpene profiles help with the pain especially the dull pain that just seems to go on for hours and effects a large part of the body.

Sorry for the ramble but pain, opiates, and addiction suck and arent really to joke about or laught at.

My best wishes,
