for some reason, whenever i smoke weed, one of my eyelids sort of swell up and makes me look like im really really tired or something. in the past, ive had a chalazia on that eyelid and also an acute infection. that was about ~3 years ago and its gone. But whenever i smoke my eyelid swells a bit. ive read that weed dilates the blood vessels. can this be related to what im experiencing? is this indication of any problem or is this regular? i havent seen this happen to any other people who ive smoked with.

Odds are you're geting smoke in that eye. Do you blow smoke to a fan on that side of you're face?

I wouldnt say that im a "stoner" .. or even close to stoner proportions. i smoke about ~.5 grams a day. and also, it doesnt affect both of my eyes, just one. and it is not the bottom eyelid, but the top one. I only smoke from a bong, or a joint or blunt, and it happens any way. this only happens when i smoke weed. if i drink, stay sober or anything else then my eyelid is fine. Ive tried eyedrops, but that only made it clearer how swollen it looks. So i take it this is not a very popular condition? i just wanted to know if anybody else has had this happen to them, and if it has, what did they do to treat it.

this has to do with your blood sugar levels. remember to eat something to balance your blood sugar levels after every time you smoke. srsly!

Id say if u had bad chalazia and a bad infection in that eye lid, it could also be you have a minor damage of your nerves. Letting your one eye lid hand a little more then the other, when u get stoned and relaxed, the swelling on the other hand seems odd.
Try some regula eye drops for relaxing your eyes, THC do cause dryness in your eyes and even it seems unlikely thats the reason. Swellings are useualy caused by irritations!

I have a friend whose eyelids puff up after we smoke...he blames it on being armenian

Marijuana decreases pressure in the eyes and increases blood flow. When this happens, the arteries in the eye-ball expand (due to decreased pressure). These areteries, especially when expanded, are visible in the white portion of the eye and make the eye appear "bloodshot" or red.
This very result (decrease of pressure in the eye) is the primary reason marijuana is used to treat glaucoma. Glaucoma is the condition where there is excessive pressure in the eye. In some patients, the pressure can become so severe that it causes damage to the retinal nerve, ultimately damaging the patient's vision. Marijuana decreases this pressure.

When I smoke ECSD my left eye twitches and squints involuntarily ... No other weed has done this to me ... and I've tried a few different weeds in my days.
Vasodilation from the THC combined with vascular irregularities from previous conditions accounts for the unilateral swelling.
