Reverse Osmosis Users

I just got a 6stage RO filter. I am not sure where I want to place it...should I place it in my grow room next to my rez? Or should I hook up under my kitchen sink and then either: run a T and a line up the wall then trough the attic and down into my rez? Or just fill up buckets of water and carry to room and rez...IMO a pain in the ass.

I mounted mine on the wall in my grow room. it fills a 30 gallon rubbermaid reservoir that has a float valve mounted in it for auto fill shutoff.

when I need drinking water, I take a 5 gallon bottle in there and fill it from the reservoir.

I use more water in my grow room then I use for drinking. it made sense to install it where it is used the most.

i have a merlin garden pro with a tall blue and i get around thirty gallons an hour of around 50-100 ppm water. the run off is less then the ro in this system. smaller ro systems have way more waste compared to ro.

put it under the sink and run you a line,you'll be glad you did and for the run off ''waste water'' home depot has a pvc sink drain pipe with a fitting so you can screw in the waste line from the ro..

I have a 6 stage, I took a 55 gal plastic drum with a float valve, keep it in the basement,air pump with 2-6" air stones. plenty of water when I need it.

I have no clue. never measured it.

my water bill for the entire household including watering the yard runs $30 - $40 per month.

my ppms come out at 10. almost as pure as you can get.

yeah I got it all installed. Not to hard to intall either. I installed it in my grow room and under the sink was not an option. There is quite a lot of waste created. Not sure what Im going to do. Thinking about running a line into the attic to the AC drip pan. Which then will drain out in my backyard. Anymore Ideas?

you might want to be careful with mounting it in the room, i had one that was mounted on a wall that was exposed to light and ended up with a nasty case of brown algae as a result

thanks for the heads up. But its installed in a dark spot that gets no light. I bet diatoms would be a bitch in that thing though.

I ran mine thru the wall to the a/c drip drain. my grow room and a/c closet share a common wall. '

my 1/4" ro drain line goes in the same a/c drain as this 1/2" hose from my grow room. I use the 1/2" to hook to a pump to drain the nute rez every now and then.
