do cops loiter in these forums

i can tell already some might get pissed off about this question, but i just want to know. is there any evidence of police using forums like these to find growers? if they did, could they get enough information for a search warrant, assuming real names were never used?

Who knows, who cares,, most of the ppl on these forums live by their own moral code,, rather than a set of feudal laws designed to construct our ambitions. In most places if the pigs suspect cultivation be happening,, they kick the door in,, internet forum of otherwise!!

NEVER post anything that might jeopardize the security of yourself,, or your friends. Otherwise remember it is 'they' that have forced this plant, and the people that practise its cultivation, underground! 'They' have cast rumor, false propaganda and paranoia over a plant species. It is a birth-right to grow erb,, if they / Babylon can't deal with that,, then that really is their problem, not mine or yours.

I think it would be foolish to think they don't read these forums. But what can they do?

The servers for ICMag are overseas in a pot friendly Country. Not in the US, Canada or any other unfriendly Country.

Never ever post anything that could lead the law to your identity, names/pics of home, car, friends, area you live, or the such, and you are good to go.

Im shure to a degree they do, but prolly not cops, prolly feds/dea etc. and prolly not that often..

see, if it was SUPER productive to them for making busts, Im pretty shure we would be hearing about it an aweful lot.
this question would not be asked as much, because the would be no question in anyones mind. it would be common knowledge if it was a regular means of LEO tracking and/or busting growers..

but like I said, Im shure some things get read by them... and if you do what a smart man like DocLeaf says, Im pretty shure no cops will bother you for sharing yer grows on a weed forum with countless members of various calibre...

im sure they will eventually make it illegal for americans to access servers out of the US... who knows, there could be some law out there that would make me think otherwise.. i know the US lost alot of money through online gambling, where accounts were offshore, then our govt. quickly passed a law to stop it...

i think once they catch on to the fact that people are learning how to do illegal things through knowledge on the internet, they will start their censoring..

until then, learn what you can, and make sure every decision you make is educated..

Yeah man I gotta agree I reackon the pigs are prowling these forums. However I think anyone with a grow of decent proportions (i.e. the piggies are actually gonna bother getting some cop hacker to track you down) uses internet cafes or whatever so they cant be tracked and for the rest of us...are the cops really gonna spend thousands getting a hacker to track me and a warrent to bust me all for a few plants. Its 2008 and there must be a million people a day type "how do I make meth" into search engines across the world. I dont know about the US (specially with your draconian president) but here in NZ we have such an outrageous problem with Meth that the cops seem to have left pot growers alon for the last couple of years.

There is at least one way in which anyone could get the IP address of any user who doesn't use a proxy. Also it's of course possible for LEO to capture all packets from your country to/from a specified IP. Do LEO bother with fishing trips like that? Probably not in Denmark, perhaps not in the US either.

Decide for yourself how paranoid/careful you want to be.
