They are both very nice strains, but are completely different. If you want an indica, sensi star is a great choice (tokin on it now). If you like sativa, go with jack. Neither will make you unhappy.

Never grown or smoked Sensi Star before, although i have made + smoked Hash from Biddy's Sister (Sensi Star 1 of the parents) and that was really nice, real gold melty top grade 73u + 90u, Jack Herer is an amazing strain, awesome flavour on the pheno's i've tried but it's the type of high that makes it a winner (same with SSH, NL#5xHaze etc), quality through and through :joint:

I have also grown both, and found neither strain particularly nutrient sensitive. Jack Herer needs some dialing in, depending on pheno, but Sensi Star could take very high nute concentrations in my garden, all phenos.

As the others said already, you shouldn't really be choosing between JH and SS, they're totally different. If you love the JH high and want to grow it then just go for it. What have you got to loose? If you want something like the Jack, but with a twist of novelty, then check out Haze Hybrids like Jack Flash, Mother's Finest, NL5XHaze, Super Silver Haze, or why not C99, which is an off-shot JH.

I think I am the only person that did not like SS, I would go with jack. You can't go wrong with jack, always a day brightener. SS is a strong stone its not casue I think it is too strong the high just puts me down. I like to smoke and be high for more than a couple hours. A couple hours of SS and the only thing you'll be doing after that is taking a long nap. It would make great medicine though. They are two totally different strains, each to his own.

It's my opinion that the closer you get to the original haze the more potent your weed is, for me a class above the rest... Jack Herer, SSH, NL#5xHaze, Nev Haze, Mango Haze and even the OrigHaze x skunk1 (freebies they give you can hang with all these, grow it and see for yourself).

Out of all of these the Jack is most suitible for commercial because of the yield. The dominant pheno you get out of a pack from sensi is the good one these days, done in 70-80 days.

The sensi star is a completly different thing, puts you in a stupor but you can get used to it and can become very unimpressive after a while. Many different strains out there that give you this effect IMO.

When I grew Sensi Star I would take her down 60 days flowering straight from clone in a SOG - yielded 14g dry perplant...The Jack would take 80 days but the yield is 25-30g! So don't let flowering time scare you as you would need 2 runs of SS to get the yield of jack.

I think alot of confusion happens when sativas are described as "clear" which questions if your high at all...it is a mistake to think this way, as these haze crosses are intense and lasts long...give someone that has been smoking Indica dominant stuff most of the time (most people are like this) a haze cross and you will shock the shit out of them. Most common phrase is "Dam, I'm still soo fucken High!"

In NYC Jack Herer commands the highest price easy.

I love the SS @night time. Totally puts me out. I've had several Jack X's. I prefer the more sativa ones personally. Had a NYCDxJack Flash(?) that was head pounding daytime stuff. I'd do both!!!

I like Jack but if everybody in my area was growing Jack I might prefer some Sensi Star to balance my selection a bit. Still, I love Jack and I just might want to try growing her better than the people in my area. ; )

Somebody pm'd me a real good description of the high they get from Sensi's Jack Herer. It's a wild ride and a strong smoke. Seems like a real phuck you up party strain that can overpower some people in the mind. Sensi Star is a classic indica and was recommended to me as a night time strain that will help with sleep, relaxing, and probably produce insane munchies. If you can get both....

I have them both and agree...two totally different animals.

My first run with Jack was cut short by a little rot caused by a sprayer line the broke loose one night. I have not taken it to full term. Many are in flower kicking it now.

Sensi on the other hand I have taken full term. Love it. Handwatered Coco SOG last run and got 14gms per. Now that I have my drip setup, I bet I get double per. They are in week 4 and look like this below. Close to the same size the handwater was at in week 6.

SS is the noobs indica seed of choice IMO, cannot vouch enough for it, no attention abuse stress etc it always from seed gives you amazing indica weed and above average yield to boot, you just cannot balls it up, only pain is when flowering is near completion you can expect plod knocking you door down at any minute without all the available odour control methods
