Motivating enjoyable daytime strains?

Im only about a week into my first grow of Mazar-i-sharif and some big bud.

The big bud cost me £20 for 10x fem seeds and the Mazar where thrown in as freebies




Ive heard the Mazar is a heavy kinda smoke for nightime use and the big bud I got coz its fem and a good strain for a first time grower with good yields.

Anyway back to my question, I enjoy a smoke during the day if I have the day off and might need to do a few things like shopping or whatever, but usually once Ive smoked I cant be arsed doin anything just watching telly or playing xbox360 etc, eating snacks by the bucketload. lol

What strains give a light but motivating high or maybe just a nice feeling but not so heavy your stuck indoors and feeling lazy.

p.s Up until now Ive just been buying of dealers and its kinda like you get what your given around here, bit like russian roulette. Ive had afgani before and thats just a knockout kinda high, WW wasnt so bad but other than those two ive just smoked whatever it was.

dutch passion FLO or dj short's , I've heard dj short says DP's Flo is closer to his own than any of their other blue line. so if you can't get DJ short DP should be a good alternative.

also dosage is very important.

My old lady likes a nice motivating smoke for her days.I grew her some NL x Jack Herer from Willy Jack seeds a few years back and she loved it but since then she has had a heart attack and does not like weed that makes her heart race.I have grown her White Widow, ICE ,silver haze. All these make her heart race. I have considered Apollo 11 but Im not sure.....??? Anybody got any input ??.....Verdi99

maby it's just what i've been picking up more often than not, leshaze by cannabiogen is a nice, skunky sativa that's easy to find in seed form and is great for daytime. very motivating and inspirational. not terribly speedy but plenty of pep to spare.

No doubt Bacchus, the LP#1 is still one of my favorite smokes of the past few years. I have one that grows like an indica with tight nugs but, it has the best daytime up high. It will sit you down if over indulged. I wonder if the new release is as good as the old one. Reef said that it has been reworked, new fathers.

Warlock is one of the best daytime smokes I have ever enjoyed. She has a heady up high that gets you motavated to get stuff done during the day. A real pleaser!

I am smoke testing BOTH Original Flo and Love Potion #2...

This may sound weird and non-connoisseur but the head is very similar with a slight edge toward Flo for long lasting effect...

With both these excellent strains, I feel you are looking for the sativa leaning pheno, the indica side lends the short (reasonable) flower time... You're going to be pheno hunting as some expressions of these two strains won't give you what you're after...

Highland Oaxacan Gold (Flo) versus Santa Marta Colombian Gold (LP#2), hehehe... Either way you're going to be feeling good, clear, positive state of mind, functional... Like your body and mind is flying forward and you're just doing your best to keep up!

i would say the ones that stick out the best to me for 'daytime' sativas would be:

Love Potion #1
Willie Nelson
Seedsman Haze
Lemon Thai x Nepalese
C99
Apollo 13
Burmese (Van Isle cut)
Jack Herer
Vietnamese Black

Those are just the ones off the top of my head. Not all strains that are called 'daytime' smoke are tho, something you must bear in mind is your body's own bio-chemistry as well as your tolerance in general. These two things will play a major factor in what you find will provide a 'daytime' smoke.

i found the freebies from seedbay "capt. beefhearts black thai" which were Flying Dutchmans Thai-tanic F2's to be excellent nice blueberry mango fruity aroma, and taste. and a very clear kinda speedy, slightly edgy, up high.
made me pick up 2 packs of Thai-tanic so i can have my own fun and see what else there was to unlock in those genes, beyond the 5 free samples i recieved from the bay.
thai tanic is inexpensive compared to most listed above.

mango haze from Mr. Nice limited release.
jhonny blaze from legends (affordable).

and i bet you might have a pack of thunk lying around ( sams thai haze skunk freebies from the bay.) there are some detractors on these boards, but i have seen many advocates as well and all of the advocates i have read agree that it's killer day smoke.
made me pop some not long ago so i can't tell you yet.

if you like something a little more solid in your day high try and find Heads Casey Jones, amazing!
or a sativa pheno of Mr. Nice Spice

I'll just add Mandala's Satori to the list. Nice daytime smoke that doesn't make your heart race and make you run around doing pointless things, but gives you motivation to get down with the task at hand and get it done properly. Great for writing music.

Flo is a "clean the house" strain. Never what I planned to do, but often what I ended up doing. Useful stuff.

my two cents would be djs grape krush. Very nice sense of well being and up without any of the raciness. Had 2 moms of this for over a year, just love it during the day. But as you know how it effects me might not be same in your wife. I, hope you find something your misses really enjoys. peace
