The "plus" is iron, B1. Botanicare's idea behind this is if yer addin extra cal an mag you need ta be adding iron as well, ta keep a balance in the micro nutes. If the balance is not right with anyone of the 3 these it will directly affect the uptake and use of the others, and that in turn will affect the uptake and use of -other- nutes. This why some folks plants look like there's several different deficiencies, there -is- per se, but more often than not it jus started from 1 er 2 things bein outa wack. Always flush good if ya been adding bottled nutes, additives, stimulators, etc... and go back with an -evenly- balanced fert ta get cha back on track...... About adding cal mag. It would depend on the soil ya start with and how hard yer water is. 2 of the six strains I run need extra cal mag plus, along with their regular nutes and hard water! They're jus pigs for exrta micro nutes. I add it every second ta third watering, it depends on what the leaves are tellin me. I do know micro nutes can build up in yer soil if ya go overboard, esp when yer feeding with balanced nutes to begin with. So keep yer eye out for signs.... I reckon I rambled enough.lol Good luck and take care... BCBurnOne said:Cal-Mag Plus is calcium and magnesium. Dolomite lime is calcium and magnesium.
