big bud substitute

I have used Big bud by AN for sometime now, I like the product. what I like about the prouct in the amino acids that are in it. My question is, is there any other product out there that carries the just aminos? I think there was a company up in Oregon, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any knowledge in this matter??

Almost every plant stimulant has amino acids in it.

Most of those have amino acids and vitamins as well...

But I do believe that most amino acids cannot be taken up by roots as well, or not to any sort of beneficial extent... To get aminos to absorb, you generally need to foliar spray.

Most of the AN additives are overpriced and overrated... I've used them, and I've only noticed a difference versus miracle grow. But like I said, if you want a cheap alternative to amino acids, just buy literally ANY stimulant product.

yah, what do you think a lot of commercial growers use?

I think there's a guy on this message board who uses miracle grow on his potted outdoors, and pulled like 60 lbs off his back yard.

I've seen many many people who use it in hydro with success too. Of course supplemented with cal-mag, but regardless, there's a miracle grow veg fert, and a miracle grow bloom fert... guess what, SAME CHEMICALS. Unless you're going 100% organic, these companies all use the same chemicals, N P K, and the extra shit is just extra shit.

Do you need humic acid? no. Does it help anything? probably, but not on a weed that's supposed to live maybe 8 months at the most in the wild... Remember, a lot of these products you see in these stores are for HYDROPONIC, not specifically for MARIJUANA.

As far as beneficials, and enzymes, and acids and nuclaeic acid and shit like that... You might see gains in yields, but it's not going to be DOUBLE or TRIPLE what you'd get without it... It's like 60 ounce harvest as opposed to a 55-58 ounce harvest.

But you also don't have to take my word on it... ask around, plenty of pot farmers use miracle grow.

Miracle grow works just fine for about 3 months, then you have to add nutes.
Big bud is excellent for elongating your buds, use it in tandem with Overdrive and you get some nice nugs.

I'm with steve. I mean I've never fed my kids miracle grow but about additives. My opinion/experience is that if you feed the plant a balanced nutrition plan, it will thrive. The additives are a superfluous waste of energy and dollars.

Do you really think a lot of these products aren't geared towards pot growers? I can think of two that were geared specifically to growing pot. Advanced Nutrients and Canna.

Quality nutrients = Quality plants = Quality product

Hey Steve....
I was just reading your post on hormones. Wow, this interested me...what more do you know. Where is there more to read about this...
and yes, I have to agree with your base nutrinets idea...miracle grow. thought i'd have to say that not all use th same sources as each other...

There is a lot to read on plant hormones, however... Not a lot to read on their affects on cannabis plants. I've been reading on hops and corn though, because research HAS been done on these two plants.

But, like I said, AN just announced last week that they've been fuckin around with gibberlins and other hormones, and that they'll be coming out with a product soon... You could always wait for that.
