What's new

4x4 foot space. 1 or 2 lights?

I have just that one plant in my shower. BTW that pic is about 1 month old. Ill get a new one up soon.

I was wondering, i just bought a next 400W CMH set-up, should i put it in the shower where the other 400Watter is? Or start a new plant?

if electricity is not a problem to you you can throw up both 400w... but i would wait till you start your next grow and throw like 5-7 plants under two 400w and really use up the space and do a grow worth while but its all up to you i dont know if 2 400w. we really make that much of a diffrence one plant being that you can only put one light over the plant.. but im no expert

Might get more if you put up both now but not near the levels that those extra 6 plants could put out under 800watts. If I were you I would get the second 400 watt and start like 10 plants under it. They wont even be able to use all that light early on. Then when the other 400watt becomes available, put it on that group. Then you can really reap the benefits of 800watts.

1 light with a light mover bro. you'll use less electricity then 2 bulbs, and will be far less heat then 2 bulbs. u can get a 3 foot light rail for about 200 bucks

I'd whack a 600W in a cool tube into that 4X4 space!...

You're obviously very adept at bending - just keep training to fill the space. The 600 will produce fat dense buds at all of the budsites that you are so lovingly creating!

I'm in a 4X4 with a 600W Sunmaster in the roof with inadequate cooling, but the plants still totally love the intensity of light that it gives compared to the 400W I hade before!
Just make sure that there's plenty of fresh air available :)

Good luck

i agree with chubby, except on the perpetual part, i like big crops, not a bunch of little ones, and you cant ever take a break

I always run a Hps 1000 watt hortilux....in my 4X4 space.....inline fans,scrubber and
exhaust fans a must...works great up to .75 gram per watt.

to add to this topic.

now im currently running a 400 watt hps system in a 3x3x 2 area and it works awesome. however, i have a 1000 watt hps kickin around doin nothing.

if i were to use this in a space that was 4' wide, 2' deep and 6' tall (closet) in an aircooled hood, what kind of cfm would i need to cool this beast. keep in mind i will have a air conditioner in the room blasting 8000 btus. but the closet is about 10 feet away.

i have a 200 cfm inline, 100 cfm squirrel cage.

how can i make this work
