was just gifted a clone labeled purplewreck , not sure what pheno . I'm hoping for something more on the trainwreck side , getting kinda tired of the urkle clone .

the trainwreck pheno smells similar but a little more errrrm i guess u could say skunky??

i dont know what trainwreck actually smells like, i just called it the trainwreck pheno because of the growth habits it stretched much more than the urkle pheno

but i was looking at them before and the urkle pheno looks like its just started to turn purple just at the very end of the calyxes, very faint atm but i think its gunna turn

IMO When I grew the TW, it was awesome the smell IMO was a piney, hashy, fresh, and other lovely smells and flavors that I can't explain. and if you look at the bottom of the smaller leaves, sometimes even the large leaves start turning purple B4 the flower's, and also like you said the calyxes will be first in line also to turn purple. But trust me when it turns it freakin comes on all in at once almost it's like freakin magical. I love the stuff. Trust me that you will be very much rewarded from the both phenos. I hope you can keep them, well unless you don't wanna of course. Peace STYC.

ur right, i just looked at the little leaves surrounding the buds, all the underneath's are purple and the cayxes are turning a bit more, its fukin crazy man, never seen any bud like it in person u know?

i hope this carries on the way it is, people round here aint never seen shit like this

My experience with most TW crosses is that the TW really likes to dominate most crosses with it's taste/smell. That's just me. I have always detected the influence from the other side of the cross but the TW dominates IMO.

My GDP has the grapety grape thing going as does lavender, urkle, etc.

BTW, plants look great.

SMTYC apologize for the late response but I've been busy. As far as I know, once it starts purpling up, it won't stop.!!!! And another thing to look out for is, if you look at the plants that are directly under the lights you will notice that if they are supposed to turn purple the one under the most intense light is the one that will be the purplest in my experiences with most of the purples I've grown. i just did a organic purplewreck outdoor tw [pheno] it is amazing plant beautiful looking .taste like a mix of fruit like fruity pebbles wit som exotic spice n earthy notes.smell intoxicating slight grapey fruit ,skunky,wit a sour lemon candy like diesel to it .smoke is very smooth still its quite exspansive in the lungs n a nice mix of head n body wit a heavy feeling in the eyes n the brain massage effects of the urkel n the effects r longlasting to .this is all after a 10 day cure so im looking forward to see wat she does to me in a month

Grapes and GRAPES, YES SIR you got that right. Sounds to that it is carying the urkel traits and qualities! the purples out here are from the grapes to nag champa, I've even been runnin into some spicy shit. Mendo Purps is a bad ass purple too bro. IMO it probably in the top three of the tastiest purple's IMO IMO. you're on the right track though so keep that up. from what I hear the trainwreck pheno should turn purple also. And to you what does the TW pheno smell like? here's some OG KUSH x Mendo Purps

Which Og cut was used for that? Do you know if the og x purps is a legitmate cut now? like one thats traded and such, or was it just a small breeding project type of thing?

Yo , yeah this was just a small breeding project,But I'm working on it to make it more available to the medical community in Ca. I fell in love with this plant after I grew it out for the first time and a lot of the patients in my area called this a favorite for them. Very few have cuts of this at the moment being as it is pretty new (this particular one). The Og Kush cut that was used in it was a cut that was given to me 1 year and a half ago in the bay. A male OG Kush and a female og Kush was gifted to me at that time. Nao I don't know how they came up with a male of the Og K being that it's a clone only originally but I've been seeing that there is a lot of different kinds of OG K's arround lately so I really couldn't tell you exactly what it was I just liked the Male more than the female cut that was given to me, the smell was freakin' amazing on it(UNFORGETTABLE)!

Here's a whole room dedicated to that OG KUSH x Mendo P Plant since everybody loved it soo much I had to do a run of all OG x MP.
It was stinky as heaven, let me tell ya I was freakin goin' nuts trying to control the odor in this particular flowering room.
I would go out and walk My dogs and even with two filters (carbon) I could still some times smell the shit as I approached my home. Nerve wrecking but at the same time I was proud LOL!
SMTYC Let me know if you notice a difference soon. I am looking forward for your harvest pics and the smoke report.

yo bigherb, the smoke report is mighty fine with me. the first toke is quite a taste full. It's very hard for me to put in words what I taste man but here's my stoned (very) attempt. this taste is like a grape lavenderish,with a skunky kind of undertone. Very smooth going in (mainly because of the flavors that are quite full if ya know what I mean), but before you know it , EXPANSION LIKE A MO FOKA, and at the exhale you get the taste of lavender fruit and skunk(light skunk) and your heart picks up a strong thumping fell to it. It surprizingly doesn't get me nervous or paranoid. I fell well relaxed, and I fell like workin in the garden. THE TASTE IS REALLY LOVED BY MY FELLOW PATIENTS AND HAS EVEN BEEN CALLED A TOP THREE FOR A COUPLE OF THEM.
The PK x MP cross is very interesting to me for sure. And it is in the works. I did try a Purple Urkel x MP cross, It was cool but the yield was weak, and it had a tendency to herm. so I got rid of it Before somebody asked for it and i pissed somebody off. The one in the works right now is Romulan X Purple urkel , And let me tell you the vigour is freakin' out of this world. I used a Bomb ass Romulan male that I've had for a while now and used his pollen on a Afghan female and am gonna use a male from that cross to pollinate a bubble gum female that I love so much.(high hopes on that cross) I also wanna cross the same Rom x Afghan male to cross it with a Sour Diesel mom that I have.
Anyway the PU x Rom is in one of the flowering rooms right now and the 12/12 has just started yesterday. Maybe I should start a thread on this cross?? What do you guys think huh??? If I should, where is the proper place to do so? Can you guys help me with that info, Thanks Very much for your interest BH

That's very nice SMTYC that's very nice. I'd say that 9.5 weeks is a good time to harvest those if you want very purple meds, also the longer you wait the more weight you'll get, but in some cases it kind of can lead to loss of maybe 5-10% of flavor and scent, my percentages could be wrong, but I have in some cases noticed that in different grows, @ different times. Also the stone/high could get a little heavier/more potent, but it will be interesting to know what the Wreck adds to the Urkel in this magnificent cross.
Anyways those buds look very juicy, and the purple is shining through.

I have just in some cases seen that you can lose a little flavor by letting it go too long but, I honestly don't think it's that significant. People like Jason King might notice the diff., People that all they do is test and sample or smoke all day, Ya know. So I wouldn't worry about that. Just keep it up bro you'll see that you'll get some dank purple buds, that'll taste soo dank good.
