Are you joking or serious? I ask because I have never seen a Cannabis plant alive for more then about a year, except by keeping it veg and re-cloning once or more a year. Are you saying the rootstalk is 7 years old or that you have had the clone for 7 years? I can grow rootstalks as big or bigger in one year, but I just want to be clear what you were saying.

yes sam the lil plant is 7 years old..
She is the first ever clone i took from the seedplant..
She produces year after year and crop after crop..

nice yield and beautifull flowers..........

That's an amazing looking mum plant Jingles, didn't think it would be possible to keep a plant alive that long and to get a stalk (trunk) that thick, think that deserves a POTM nom man :joint:

Garlic Bud? only briefly heard the name.... Any details or photos?
Smells like a pizza shop ... also known as a Black Afghani due to the darkness of the leaf late in flower. Dense bud that can go huge. The last attempt at germination with the Old School GB was not entirely successful ... but we have a cut of a real nice lady. Yes ... 20 year old seeds Can germinate (I got the beans 5 years after they were made).

She produces what year after year? Flowers or veg pieces for new clones?
So just to be clear, you made this clone 7 years ago, flower off the clone, and then what, chop off the flowers and put the stem and roots under long photoperiod and re-veg it? Is this done each year under lights? More then once a year or? What size pot is this? Liters or gallons?

The size is nothing special, I have much bigger stems, produced in a year.
Everyone I know who I have shown my collection of dead dry stems say they are the biggest they have ever seen, Adam from THSeeds, Soma and a few others have a giant stem from me, they are hard to get your fingers around, but 6-10+ feet tall. Grown in soil in my greenhouse, veg for a year+, not even flowered most of them.

But for you to say the roots and branches have been flowered seven or more times and re-veged each time and the same plant kept alive that is news.
I have lots of clones alive for 20 years so that is no surprise, but a single plant that is alive for 7 years, I have never heard of or seen, ever.
What variety is it? If true this is f*****g amazing!
I am still having trouble believing it. If true I want to make one 10 years old. Might take me a while.....

Anyone else ever keep a mother clone alive for more then one year?
Or flowered a mother repeatedly and re-veged it repeatedly? For 7 years?

I have had no problem keeping clones alive for years, but I don't flower the mothers, I keep them in 24 hr veg and make cuttings and flower the cuttings.
I have no trouble re-vegging most flowered plants, but never the same plants for 7 years...

BTW, I have had most of my varieties, dozens, around for 30+ years, 20+ as clones.

Incredible specimen none the! You have my interest peaked for sure.

I've had Dutch Passion's Flo from feminized seeds coming up on 6 years now. I don't have the space for a mother, so I've been cloning from clones since I've had her. She's still going strong too!!

I could be wrong, but I understand what he said as simply meaning it's been producing rockin' clones for 7 years, not that it's been flowered and reveg'd as many times. A lot gets lost in translation in these forums....so dunno, now I'm even more curious about it though.

my own strain...HAVOC!!

my own strain...HAVOC!!

the origins of HAVOC: Years ago, when I was on the cannabisculture forums, I had very cool person gift me some seeds of a strain called "Wraffie"...I nurtured them, and let the plants go to seed, I had a very good seed run and consequently gifted many(read that as a huge number of) folks beans world-wide...I promised the creator I would and truely felt compelled to share the "Wraffie" with as many people as I could...
Wraffie is a multicross of whitewidowXsoma sk/romberryXafghani...it was a fast finisher(45 Daze) that kicked great big frosty trichome covered buds and tasted fruity and hashy at the same time....very nice....so by accident,I crossed the "Wraffie" to Sensi Seeds "NL#5xHaze"....the cross, "(not even named by me, but by a winner of a long ago name my strain contest,..but thats another story).."HAVOC" is really something amazing, the hashy fruit flavors hit you right away, the chunkiness of the NL definately gives this strain great bag-appeal, and combined with the trippiness of the Haze, its been a favorite of my circle of friends for quite some time now. That`s all well and good, but there is a sad part to the story, I never got any males to do a seed stock crop out of the resulting seeds from the cross,,,,kind of a bummer in some aspects,,,...so I`ve kept this strain going since april of 2003.. over 6 yrs,....probably not a record or anything,,.it`s just a great strain that I just can`t come up with a good enough reason to let go under, long live the Havoc!!!........peace...G.

Yeah I've never seen anything like that, I'd love to get some clear info. Definitely the most badass trunk I've ever seen, better than the big outdoor ones IMO.

Very curious to see if it's a plant that's bee revegged and harvested countless times, or if it's just cuts been taken. I've seen pictures of old plants and they never looked like that, but they were all veg-only. DrBud runs his plants up to 3x I think, other than that I don't see to many people reveg. Is this what happens?
