Bog LifeStar 2008

Just a few pictures of my summer 08' Bog LifeStar grow. :jump:

Early in the spring I found a pack of Bog LifeStar in my freezer. So I threw them into germ right as we had a very cold period and a car took out the transformer for my power. So out of the pack of 10 only 4 survived and only 2 became females. I really wasn't expecting what I got.

In vegg they were very healthy thick square stems large green leafs. She really loved the Lucas feeding schedule with a little extra cal/mag in the 2 gals of 100% coco fiber. Very much a light hog-more the better

Each female was different in smell. Pheno "A" was slightly fruity with a slight spice tone. Where as the "B"pheno was a full Spice market and incense. "A" 's grow habit was very bushy with tight bud sites overall very dense. "B" grow habit was columnar in shape with 3 very large dense colas.

They both got trimmed this weekend and should be dry and ready for the jar in a week. My experience with Bog's Bogglegum tells me at least a 60 day cure. However I will give a smoke report at the 30 day point.

Those are some rare seeds you popped. Lifestar is one heavy indica, put me to sleep and got me very stoned when i smoked it. Great outside grow.

That is great news.
I'm looking for an indica for my med patience’s. I just got picked to test grow Cannacopia krush x Deep chunk. :jump: Everything indicates I should have 2 great strains for my folks in need. :pimp3:

I’ve cloned both Pheno for inclusion in the grow cycle. Looks like killer meds for the holidays. :joint:
When I get thru drying and curing the first buds a tasting will determine which pheno that I will continue to grow.

did you make any seeds if not you should have .i expect their being some better phenos to grab in the f2 .i think he was doing that work when he decided to do away with the seed biz . i expect if you farther explore the cross you might find what bog was looking for .because he knew how to pic out good breeding parents.

i started growing from bog over on overgrow i wished i would of bought a shit load of his seeds back then.thay wher only 35 bucks a pack .

i liked his bubblegum crosses he was known as the bubblegum guru.

Wow I'm very pleased this thread is of interest to other folks!

Dan Woody- Sorry I didn't keep the male although he was a beefy monster. I need to watch my plant count to stay within the legal guidelines for a Med grow. But the future might include an DJ short's F-13 cross. I think you are absolutely correct about Lifestar being a totally unexplored strain.

Barneyfife- You are right on with her heritage.

I have a strong feeling that LifeStar will continue being flowered in my garden for many years.

Nice find Mad! Truley a gem from the man! Hopefully you will grow out and pollinate your best pheno for seeds in the future, as they would be very valuable and tasty!

I am searching long and hard and 2 years late is the same conclusion I keep coming too. thanks for keeping reality in check grappitypunch.

You are not going to believe this but I found a potential goldmine in my freezer!

So a friend who has recently gotten started growing drops by to “borrow” a cup of genetics – a clone of my LifeStar.
He starts talking about seeds so I decide to show him my seed stock. I open the container and “magic” happens these two seed packets are on the top of the pile.

OMG! - A pack of Bog Bogglegum and Lifestar.
I really thought I hadn’t set any seeds aside. Each pack still has 6 seeds. So I still have the chance to find more phenos and a male for my great LifeStar females I currently have in the grow / clone cycle.

How long did she flower outside?
when did you pick her trichs or didn't matter much
I always liked what bog plants I grew even the really freaky mutants not worth crossing.

I never found a plant to be to couchlock and sleepy, guess daytime wasn't much of a sport for me.
