Blunts, Where did they Come From ? and when will they leave !

i like blunts on special occasions but when i was in HS all the prep kids would only smoke blunts. i was like here hit my triple bubbler and they just said naw man lets roll one up. to this day i can still roll perfect blunts because of them. i wouldnt ever do it tho if i had good bud and they would be mad. i like swishers tho better than any other blunts.

personally i feckin HATE "blunts"
for many reasons
i refuse to let someone even smoke a blunt in my house
if i am with friends and they spark one up, i'll pull my glass out and pack some homegrown in it
and puff while they smoke their mids, i don't criticize them though
as it's their thing
but i'll never chip in to fill it up with them

only time i smoked alot of blunts was a east coast nugs/jugs
and to be honest it sucked !!
the herb was great, but ruined to me when wrapped in a tobacco leaf​

sneak a hit here and there! blunts are way too stinky and a security risk for me. even a bowl could emit too much stinky stinky into the air imo (i would cap the bowl in between hits to put it out) and a fully loaded blunt of the shit i like to smoke would probably put 25 down. loltown

blunts aren't a good idea, weed should be smoked as weed alone, in either joint/pipe/bong/vape. why would you want to alter the great taste of the herb with a flavored tobacco?

i enjoy a cigar once in a while, but just a cigar by itself. even the flavored dutchmasters! so it has nothing to do with being a tobacco hater. but if you think about it - you also run the risk of getting addicted to nicotine either mixed in with it or in the wrapper alone .. which, unfortunately, is a real thing to be worried about. lol.

next time you get that thought/itch/must spark up a blunt, damn a blunt would be great right now after dinner, I NEEEEED A BLUNT - it's not the herb in there that's making you feel the jones effect.

Me personally I guess im a P.O.M.E.....is what we really had around us coming up in the hood.......either philly's or dutch masters.....as I grew older I became much more unorthodox to how I smoke my green.....I dont limit myself to enjoying the green with one method.....sometimes im in the mood for a nice spliff or a bong hit...or maybe a swisher sweet....or a bowl...Would I ever turn down a nicely rolled blunt Hell fucking noooooooooooo im a smoker.....I will enjoy it no matter how its brought to me....peace.....

man, all i smoke are blunts,backwoods specificly not cause of jamaicans or dr.dre told me too ,its becuase i get a extra buzz when i smoke them,plus i pay 5.25 for 8 cigars and thats alot more economical than paying100+ every time ive broken a bong witch for me turned out to be 5 of them,i would rather buy more herb or growin supplies.it does effect the taste of the weed but not as much as people say i can still taste my herb just fine i however dont think too much of other blunt particularly royals and phillies dutches and GV's are okbut.i think bongs are good if you want to caugh up you lungs in a hurry,i just like to relax light up one and be done with it.to each there own .

im also a backwoods roller, i belive they are the least harsh off all the cigars, I always try to put my peoples on them ,however no one can seem to roll them up expect me and the oldschool heads, I remember the day I found backwoods, I was driving 5 hours to go visit an ex girlfriend, had a nice half oz of beers with me, but i totally forgot a box of dutches, and the only cigars they were selling at rest stops in rural ,PA were backwoods. needless to say Theres nothing like 3g's of sour diesel rolled into a phat marley blunt in honey backwoods, I swear that shit lasted the whole ride up !

Zero blunts for me, never smoked one ~ never will. I don't smoke tobacco PERIOD.
It's also rare for me to roll joints unless I'm faced with a crowd, a real waste of quality bud goes up in smoke between hits if only 2-3 people are hitting it.

Ahh the vanilla dutch... how I came up smoking... just like SOURSOILDER said, usually with haze/piff/whatever burning in it... I don't smoke them as much anymore, but there really is nothing better than rolling a 2gram gorilla finger of dank with some buddies and puffing on it for 30+ minutes... doesnt taste the best, but I could care less after Im buzzing off of a few hits... (whoever said they cant taste their weed in a blunt must not have very tasty weed, no offence but that's absurb..) ... It's not an everyday thing, though, as it makes my lungs sad.... more of a social things really... Forget the haters ...

Maybe I'm getting old (OK, definitely), but could someone please tell me exactly what a blunt is and how you make one? I know cigar wrappers are used, but how? Do you buy a cigar, somehow get the tobacco out, then somehow roll it back up again? And is tobacco mixed in with the weed, or is it just the wrapper that is tobacco?

FWIW, I smoke tobacco and weed, and until recently it never occurred to me to mix the two together. To me, this sounds like crazy talk. Of course, I don't get out much.

i cant hate on blunts. although i rarely smoke em anymore, i grew up smoking them and have alot of memories. i can say without a doubt the tobacco in blunts is addictive. i have friends who are hooked on blunts(no cigs).

now, the blunt action happens when a pipe is not enough to satisfy everybody in a group. around these parts, cigarrillos are the staple. blunts rot on the shelves, but cigarillos sell out. i guess folks are getting tired of all the tobacco. if they had weed like mine they wouldnt need blunts anyway.

On that note: I will say that I usually have a distaste for blunts.....I dislike tobacco...but I've found 1 use that works really well...

When entering a casino which is a pro-smoke environment....I'm able to effectively burn one down. I get halfway decent cigars....remove some of the tobacco on the end....stuff it with excellent nug...and plug it back up with tobacco. I checked into the Mohegan Sun....and walked back through the Casino with a stealth blunt lit....NO PROBLEMS. I figured if anyone wanted to hassle me...by the time they were asking questions...the part of the cigar stuffed with weed would be burned down. They could then inspect the remainder of the cig and find nothing criminal. Other than this 1 use...I never burn 'em like this.

I like a nice blunt now and again, infact this thread has just inpired me to roll one, I've got some organic Lavendar by Soma and I'll roll it in a Royal blunt wrap. (blueberry & strawberry are good but honey are the best IMO)
