First Grow Indoor, 2 clones and a seed.

Hello fellow pot-heads, Knives chiming in on the IC forum. This is my second grow ever, first one was outside. But my first time indoors, so lets see what happens....

Im using a 150watt HPS, pro-blend nutes, fox farm ocean forest soil, 3gal square pots, bottled spring water, and a 9' fan. cheap and simple

I got 2 clones in flower that i had to re-veg. A bubblicious and a thai x haze.
also have a bag seed going that looked nice.

Thanks for the vibes man, updated with the pictures and started my own thread lol. LST is in full effect. Any new sprout of growth gets tied, pops a ton of bud sites lol. should I make a cab?? or keep it like it is?

If you've got the space to use and you're using it efficiently, no need to fix what isn't broken.

haha, amen to that. starting a mother on the other side in a small cab. probably gonna run a few CFL's, maybe another 150watt. the process i want dialed in is clone, veg for 2 weeks, flower, harvest, clone...and so on. starting from seed sucks lol. I'll post some updates when I get them

I think the first thing you should do, is get a proper door of some sort dude, you are going to be leaking light like crazy, light in can cause hermis, and light out.....well that just screams trouble.

I probably myself would have waited on switching to flower for a while, and vegged those clones a couple weeks longer, but that would be what I would have done. But I am confused, you say they are in flower and then you say you are gonna veg for 2 weeks???????

Dont worry about the light leaking in or out, Got that covered in a very subtle way

As for the clones, heres the deal. Got clones that were put into 12/12. very small, but only light source available. I took them into my care, brought them back to veg, and they have already been there for about 2 weeks. Figure i veg for another week or 2, then flip the lights. so a total of around a month of veg time. that too soon for a good yeild? I have them heavily LST'ed. I mean, every branch that shoots out gets tied to sprout more lol. You guys are the ones with experience so let me know whats up. Thanks for the vibes, my ladies are gonna need em

If your Thai x Haze is a Thunk (T*Haze x Skunk #1) They take 20-25 weeks and NEVER stop stretching. Consider 12/12 asap and strong canopy control.

i think you have finally identified my mystery sativa! Buddy says 120 days when i flip to flower. but they do get huuuge, thats why i LST'ed. Buddies is like 7 and a half feet!

Quick update--

Getting a timer and some nutes for flower soon.
got some extra cash to spend lol.
Will be posting pictures when then flip happens.

Thunk is forming a nice canopy, just waiting for a few of the new sprouts to reach to the top.

Bubblicious is also forming a nice canopy too. I could let run for a another week in veg...which might happen just to let my bag seed grow a little.

Aiming for 1.5oz's from the bubblicious and bag seed, and 2-3 on the Thunk.
My goals are set, now lets see if I can get higher mwuhaha

The top shot isn't mine, just an example of how big they can get.

The bottom shot is mine. 4+ oz after smoking during grow and a water cure. A hands off jar cure would've yielded over 1/2 Lb. Some form of LST is highly recommended in a small space.

Smoke report. Truth in Advertising: Not what I was looking for. I say this because I feel it's important to know where a report comes from. I'll be as objective as I can but, I'm human. Whatever shortcomings it has, it beats the street weed around here hands down.

I was hoping for the Anti-Indica, couch repellant, Sativas of my youth. Soaring, cerebral, clear-headed, extroverted, racy, creative. This isn't it. While there's no couch lock, there's none of the couch repellant I'd hoped for. It's a head high, mellow, introspective. A bit thicker or opaque than I'd hoped for, but you can smoke it all day. Perhaps just me but, I seem to have built up a certain tolerance. Not a good choice for those that keep only one kind of weed around unless they smoke irregularly. Not the best party weed but great for a couple of friends in a more intimate setting.

Alright cool, LST'in like a mad person lol. 40z+!? daaaamn, nice work. so 2-3, even more, with a 10 day dry and 2 week jar cure...hmmm, i could probably squeeze out a nice harvest. I figure I smoke the bubblicious and bag seed while the Thunk is fattening up lol.
Any weed is better then paying for it or no weed, so ill be happy either way. Medicinal User here...just dont live in a state where its legal lol. Thanks for the responses and good vibes

Quick update---

Found my receipt for the hydro store whoot!
the 23rd will be a month of vegging, plus however old they were when i got them.
Flipping the lights on the 23rd, need to get my nutes and timer!

Okay, startin to look like some plants now lol. LST'in the Thunk to keep it even, gonna do a few more ties today. The Bubblicious is doing great, much slower then the Thunk. I stopped feeding the Thunk, Just giving it water until i flip 12/12. It doesnt seem to like it as much as the Bubblicious. Anyways, heres some pictures!

Good observation. Sativa's are known to prefer lower levels of nutes. Especially nitrogen. Shame on me for not mentioning it. You still have some food left in the plant and soil so, water only for now is OK but, keep your eyes on it for signs of stress.

Did you have problems with that too? Just seems to me like they are a bit sensetive to feedings. Its really nice to have pictures going. lets you know how much they really grow in a short amount of time. I just love waking up everyday to my beautiful babies lol. Planning on flipping on the 23rd. But im gonna wait till the bag seed has 5-7 nodes.

I don't know if it would've been a problem to the plants but, it was a problem to my wallet. I now use a custom variation of the Lucas Formula. Rather than 0-8-16, I run closer to 0-3-6 which is only slightly strong. Why throw 2/3 of you nutes and money down the tubes?

While you'll want to avoid long veg periods, some is worthwhile. There were other differences between the two (seed/clone - 250 watts/150,250 split - Cold res/warm rez) but, here's Wilma (left) and her clone (right). Wilma got close to a month of veg. Her clone got none.





You have to look to see the difference in stalks but, the difference in roots and buds is obvious.

oh wow, only a month veg on that? Mines been at around a month, should be a nice comparison then on different technique. Is it as picky about feedings in flower as veg? Curious to know if it just doesnt like N.

As for the LST VS SCRoG..Im doing mine in a different way. tying back to the center to make a nice even canopy. So the tallest branches get tied on top of each other leaning towards the center where there are no sprouts coming up. Might be hard to visualize so ill get a pic tomorrow. Kinda looks like domino's after you push them down lol.
