whats up guys,
i've decided to give a shot at growing outdoor. i've been indoor for a little while now, and recently started an outdoor garden for vegetables. my veges did pretty good, so i figured what the hell, i'll do one and see how she goes.

i did a little research and went with mandala seeds kalicharka.

i'm starting indoor til they sprout, so i started two in jiffy pellets, and one of my freebies which is sam the skunkmans original t* haze x skunk1 also in the jiffy pellet. and put a single cfl light over them. i also put two kalicharka in wet paper towels.

i hope to get one female, if i get any other females, i'll either give to a friend or dump

i'll be putting the plant in a pot, so just incase i get a hurricane or a snoopy name i can move it around. for my medium i plan on using a organic coconut fiber block (coirbrick) and maybe some perlite, vermiculite, not sure what i got left from my vege garden.

for my nutrients, i'm going to use a "recipe for success starter kit" by technaflora, i got it from a garden expo i went to, it's got thrive alive, sugar daddy, bc boost, grow, and bloom, root66, magical, and awesome blossoms, i've never used their products, so i figure this'll be a good chance to try em out, and finally use this starter kit thats been sitting under my bed for months.

i'll be checking in here a couple times a day probably, so i should be pretty fast responding to any questions or if anyone has any advise

wish me luck...

On July 17th, this is what I had,

The big one is the freebie.

On this day I also added a couple drops of ThriveAlive B1 Red to the bottom of the little dish with a little water to keep the pellets moist.

This is the starter kit I got from a gardening convention and am going to use:

Yesterday the 21st, I made a trip to home depot, and got some cheap pots, three small ones, and one big one, so the keeper will go into the big one.
For the medium, I used the cococoir brick, some peat moss, and some perlite. I soaked the cococoir brick in a bucket of water with some more of the ThriveAlive B1 Red.

Here's the Skunk x Haze:

Here's one Kal.

And here's the last kal. which I don't think is going to make it

Group shots

I'll keep them inside for a couple more days, under 24 hours of light.

Think I covered everything...?...kinda hard to play catch up due to the picture uploading being down.

I'm thinking i want to keep them inside, to determine which ones female, so once they get about a foot tall, i'll switch to 12/12 for a few days, sex them, and the females I will reveg for another week or so, then move outside. Or should I just move them outside when their a couple inches tall?

On July 27th, I entered the vegetative stage of the nutrients, with BC Boost, Grow, SugarDaddy, MagCal on the biggest plant which is the STKM Haze x Skunk.

So up till today, Aug. 8th I've just been giving them water, but today I added another dose of the veg nutes to the haze x skunk (nute guide says feed, water, water, feed) Here's where their at now
(had to move them into a small closet for now [family in town])

Wow
Can't believe it's been a month since my last update.

I went on a two week vacation, and had a family member water and feed my plants while I was gone.

About three days ago, I took a clone of each plant, and have them under a CFL inside, in a couple more days I'm going to flip them to 12/12 to sex them, so I know what's what outside.

Which brings me to what's outside, I moved the plants outside about a month ago. When the weather calls for rain, I pull them under the patio cover so I can control the watering.

Everything's been growing good, following the Technaflora feeding instructions, not to the T, but roughly, after years of indoor hydro growing, I've learned to just roughly estimate the amount by just pouring it right from the bottle, or just knowing 1 cap full 2 cap fulls, etc.

I did get some little white flies, tiny tiny things, don't really know what they were, but I have some BioNeem, I'm pretty sure that's how it's spelled, mixed that in a spray bottle, with a drop of NON antibacterial Dawn dish soap (helps the spray stick to the plant) and sprayed the plants, next day, no more flies.

Today I finally decided to LST a little. I was just going to do the smaller two, which are both the Kalicharka, but after doing those, I played around with the bigger of the three, STSMs Haze x Skunk, and said F it, and tied that a little too. I should have done this sooner, but after seeing how they were growing, straight up with little side shoots coming up, figured better late then never.

And finally, here's some pictures.

Kalicharka 1:

I read on here awhile ago you should always tie the bottom, "trunk" of the plant too, pulling it the other way that the top of the plant if being pulled. I see a lot of people not doing that, but I always do, feels like the plant is more supported, and then I'm able to pull the top over more.

Kalicharka 2:

And here's Haze x Skunk:

Here's the pictures of the Skunk x Haze that I identified as female

Kind of hard to tell, but there's the little white pistols in there, hard to capture with my cheap camera.

All three plants are female

I was only planning on doing one, but I thought they would be a lot bigger, so I would only need one, but since their all flowering now, their kinda small, so figured I'll flower all three.

I snapped a couple more pictures today

Keeping up with the FEED, WATER, WATER, FEED schedule.

They've all taken to the LST very well.

Here's the Kalichakra:

Here's the other Kalichakra:

And lastly the Haze X Skunk:

A lot of the leafs on the Haze X Skunk are turning brown and dieing, here's a picture to show:

Any ideas what could be wrong?
I thought nutrient burn, but it's getting the same as the others, and I even gave it a little less nutrient solution and more water last feed, but their still doing it.

Thanks dungeon

I'm not sure what to expect with this being my first outdoor grow. So far I'm enjoying it, I'll probably do more after this one. Thinking about starting to veg one now indoor and move it outdoor for next season for a monster!

Nice grow BTW

Well... All three of my plants died. :violin:

Out of no where, I went out to check on 'em and see one of them was all droopy and wilted. The soil was still moist. I've been watering and feeding them all at the same time. So I didn't know what to do, since the other two were fine.

The next day I go out and it's completely dead and turned brown.

A few days later, another did the same thing. About a week after that one, the last one went.

No idea what it was. I watered or fed every couple days, I let the soil go dry, and pots were very light, so I know they weren't water logged. Not sure what it was.

I was able to salvage a couple grams off them, nothing great, but still worked.

I've been keeping that one clipping in my closet for awhile now. It's coming along. I put it in a big pot, and will need to add some more lights in the next few days. I won't be updating it in this thread. I will just let this thread die, like my plants :frown: Next season when I put this one outside, I'll start a new thread, till then, I'll be taking pictures of it, and post them all at the same time when she moves outside.

Here's some pictures of what she is now.

Pretty ghetto I know, but it's working for now till I setup some real light(s).
