LUI vs POG

In regards to the Yeild and potency(especially) of legends ultimate indica and the pot of gold which do feel would be the keeper.

POG won third place in the cannabis cup not sure what year, but i've only heard good things about LUI, grew some sweet tooth out a couple of years back really nice not the strongest though. I know the LUI has a sweet tooth father But don't know how the Ortega mother influenced the potency, any input would be appreciated

POG was in so many ways a great plant/indica but it just did not seem to knock peoples socks off. So I would say a great average plant. Yield pretty good. Short.

I assumed as much hasn't had the greatest reviews in the potency department, always looking for great commercial strains.

The LUI i've had was very nice but wasn't a very strong indica. Great flavour, nice buzz, but a lot more active and clear than I expected.

This was however dealer weed so it may not have been the ortega pheno. Still made me want to grow it though.

But if you've grown the sweet tooth then why not try something a little further removed from that line. Sensi star is available and is POTENT or Black Domina maybe?

Yeild is quite a big factor and I haven't heard to many good reports about the sensi star in the yeild department just ordered some nebula from paradise though and i've just started a batch of morning glory(i jumped the gun a bit when I ordered these) so I hope they turn out quite nicely, but I am looking for a more commercial strain, quite a big gap in our market in south africa for good splee.

i've never grown POG but i have LUI and there are some very very stony pheno's if taken 70days of 12/12...nice heavy yields, great flavor, warm and feel good with probably a 8-9 on the potency scale depending on pheno

go with Lui.the ortega pheno is nice.also this plant puts on some weight.also stay's short.my advice also is to put back money for lawyer.if your going to grow for money.never know when things can go bad.Taproot

I have grown some LUI a few years ago, made some F2's and grew them out too. resulting in Ortega and sweet tooth phenos and a grapefruit one . I liked LUI for the yeild and plant structure. IT is a great strain for commercial, but kind of boring after a while, it needed something extra to get me off the couch.

Haven't tried Pot of Gold yet.

I've never grown or had LUI but have heard great things about it. I have grown POG from seed fairly recently and also some clubs cuts, they were pretty much identical, and a big disappointment from the POG cuts I got from a club about 5 years back. That cut ROCKED and was hoping to find something similar from seedstock or current club cuts and not even close. The newer stuff is OK but wouldn't grow it again.

South Africa when regarding the law is a very iffy situation I don't want to tempt fate by saying this but the level of corruption in our police force runs deep but this goes both ways in the case of murderers and rapists the same thing applies you can buy your way out of trouble quite easily, we have a lot of freedom in this country but this applies to the serious criminals to, iv got a small op going very low key, don't talk to people about it(I feel quite safe on forums though) and move on a regular basis. Thanks for the concern, it's more of a profitable hobby though.

Grew a clone given to me of POG, years ago. I liked it a lot, but not gourmet - I thought then. Yield was OK, it stayed short. I know more now, so it would actually be better for me to try to grow it again.

The clone looked exactly like Flying Dutchmen's picture.

I have 3 LUI phenos 1 of them at day 43, looks great, tons of trichs, sticking out from the leaf stems, and everywhere else.

Took the one clone of my #2, Sweet Tooth Pheno at 56, as I was running out of smoke, and it appeared one or two days from being done....! Hard rock nugs, fo sho. I usually wait extra days.... It looks impressive, but not to die for, so I will not keep it. Decision not to be made until smoke report.

Leaving the #1 pheno til it is fully ready. Looks amazing. Clearly a special strain.

Then the #3 pheno, which is only at day 20, looks like a full;on Single-cola version.

I think I would also almost invariably go with a Legends strain over a Flying Dutchmen's. Call me what you will, but I think Red has kept up with more new breeding than FD has... And also the work with DJ Short....
