Electrosticky, nobody in the states really has a chance to get a black colombian or many of the strains mano negras grew, right? He had some beautiful african type strains. I know there are some african IBL's around through banks like Afropips. But I have to say, back in the 70s a friend had something called Colombian Black, def different than anything else I had seen- tight nugs and blackish. Unbelievable even to this day. Wish I had the sense to have gotten some seeds.

As far as this thread goes, once you pick out 3-4 strains of any type high "couchlock" for instance as this thread seems to be about, aren't you pretty much experience the gambit of couchlock highs so that every other new strain that comes along isn't all that different? I would think as an example if you grew Blueberry, Aurora Indica, Black Domina, a Bubblegum, Papaya, Sannie's Anesthesia, Herijuana, and a Kush, that should just about have all the medicinal couch lock qualities accounted for. No doubt you could come up with a different list, just that after five or six real good ones it probably doesn't get much better or change that much as far as highs go. Anyone agree, disagree?

Wasn't actually directing the bottom paragraph to you ES, just that as a beginner there are 40 strains I'd like to grow, 10 probably in some people's opinion fall into the couch lock "knock you on your butt" category. My point was more of a request for opinions whether or not if you threw them all in a pile and closed your eyes and picked six strains you'd probably have all the variation in highs covered... that really most couch lock indicas are fairly similar, not all that much difference in the effects... that if you find one good narcotic medicinal strain it's probably just about the same as any other couch lock medicinal strain. I'm still trying to narrow down which strains I order.

Anyway, back to the thread.

I am not going through the whole thread, but but you included blueberry in your list of couchlock strains,and personally I don't think it fits. I have grown at least ten different named strains or crosses of named strains. Not one of them is the same. Every plant I have grown has had something different about it. Sure some I liked more than others, but I still liked them all.

You should give a plant a chance to mature before you truly can judge it fairly. Meaning clone it. I have found bar none, that every seed I ever planted got better after the second generation,and the ones that I have gone to three or more with even better yet. I think far to many growers are intimidated by cloning, or just lazy and never really get to appreciate what they actually have.

Don't believe me? Test it out first.

i would have to agree with SFC...cloning for 2nd and 3rd, etc...generations gives the plant time to reach its full potential...even if vegged for 1-2 months, then flowered out, a girl will not fully express her potency, flavor, high, etc...till she has been cloned a few times, then flowered out...just my .02...im no expert...Peace, and if youre lookin for a killer potent strain to keep u high for a long time...try:

you should have asked for experienced growers.. not smokers.

now you just have a hust list of strains lol. what you gona do? grow them all?

believe it or not the strain of the plant doesnt matter so much. its all in the processing

to get fcked up couch lock style stone you need CBN! when THC breaks down it produces CBN. this process is called oxidization.

the more amber trichomes the more CBN. next time you harvest, do it as you normally would but leave one fat bud on the plant and let it go a week or two longer than normal untill you have %80 or more amber trichomes. then after a dry n cure do a blind smoke test. i guarantee the bud that has been on the plant longer will fck you up more than the regular bud.

it doesnt matter so much indica or sativa because logic tells us that the more THC you have to convert to CBN the more couchy you will get. White russian, sage etc etc all good for what you want.

take it a step further and hash up the two types of buds and you will clearly see the hash from the amber trichomes will fck you up way more than the regular hash.

like i said its all in the processing. you can get a more couchy stone from a sativa dom plant that has gone over ripe and has %80+ amber tricks than an indica with clear/cloudy trichomes.
