i am in michigan and ive had my plant out doors for over 3 months now and its still not flowering.
no pistils or anything
could it be that my plant is a sativa and flowers longer?

different strains will start flowering at different times. not all of mine are showing yet. Ussually the more Sativa the influence the later they will start to flower. Hopefully they will start flowering soon for you or you might end up with immature buds. Next year I would recommend buying some earllier flowering genetics. Check out the outdoor strain guide in the outdoor section you will find lots of great early genetics you can try. Also I would recommend buying a few different strains and see which one works best for your area.

Is your plant bagseed or is it a certain strain and if so which strain??

i bought it from my friend i found one seed in the one big ass nug.
he said it was mango haze had a nice really fruity taste but idk. i just think my plant is sativa.
it gets direct sunlight most of the day and it has grown alot in the past few days.
it looks very similar to this but without the pistils

Sounds like Guyute54 hit the nail on the head. Unless you're not sure it's female...then that's another ballgame entirely. Sativa dominant genetics will tend to take longer to complete the fruiting/flowering process. So the sativa plants will tend to look thinner and less filled out at first. Indica dominant genetics will generally give you that earlier flowering short stocky plant. There are always exceptions, especially with the hybrids of the two.
Good luck man.

damn, well if it does not finish flowering outdoors if it gets cold
you think i would get decent buds from it using about 50-80 watts of cfls inside

Is there any light out side?Like a street light or something? This will also stop plants from flowering! You could cover it at night giving it 12/12 taking it off in the morning!

haze is sativa, try force flowering if possible with a garbage can or cold frame with black visqueen

but unless the plant is less than 8 weeks old there should be preflowers at minimum showing long before now even if it's sativa. i've never heard of nothing showing at this late stage of the season unless if was sprouted in towards the end of july or thereabouts. is it alternating the branches yet? that's another sign of approaching sexual maturity and about the time preflowers start popping out. sometimes a 10x magnifyer is needed to find em...but if it's 3 months old and has been outdoors all this time it should be in the beginning phase of flowering, at least, by now...even a full blown 100% haze should be flowering by now...how else would they ever finish by x-mas!?!?

I notice that in most cases males always show before females. I am thinking you are just growing a hardcore sativa and it is still stretching in a sense. I had to throw away a thunk that just wanted to get bigger and bigger with no nugs forming after four months. I just hope you have a dry and warm winter cause you are in for the long haul if that is a girl.
