Lime or bright green strains...

I was curious as to which strains finish up very light green colored.
There was a strain we smoked in the 80's, very light green colored, not sure what it was or if it was just lack of nitrogen.

The actual calyxes, or the whole plant? The first thing that came to mind when I read this was a picture of Sour Diesel IBL taken by Creeptic a few years ago, haven't seen him around in a long time though...

This Mikado pheno is almost fluorescent green. Under lights I thought it had a problem, but then I stuck one outside, and it did exactly the same thing...:)

Landrace sats have a tendency to be light green. Judging by where you are it was probably a good mexi.

I agree. Mexican sativas are the best example that I have seen.

Ok, my buddy said it was called krypto bud, very bright lime green nugs. Anyone ever have it before or know where I can find it?

Its hard finding the same strain after that long man. Most strains have been diluted genetically over the years unless someone kept a mom of that same krypto strain since the eighties.

My last grow was Super Skunk and Nirvana Special. The leaves of the Special were very light green up next to the Skunk. Both were great producers.

I have never seen anything clone as easily as Super Skunk. It's some very potent weed.

Nirvana Special is a strain I hadn't heard much about. The plants all the way through harvest looked somewhat sickly up next to the Skunk. Ounce for ounce (my limited experience) there is not much difference in yield. Mine had a smaller growth habit than a sativa dominant.

My grow seemed to be more indica than sativa.

Other than being fooled by the light green leaves, I have no complaints about NS.

The smell is very pungent, completely unlike the Skunk. With Skunk I can always tell when the lights go off because of the absolutely beautiful smell of the Skunk drifting down my hall.

Somebody else feel free to correct me, but I think krypto/kryp/kryppie are generic terms for kickass indoor pot. I agree with chubbynugs, unless you can find an AZ grower who knows what you're talking about, you'll never figure out what it was.

Reef's tropical timewarp was like the inside of a lime kinda green. Still got 5 seeds, but they're getting old, and it's also a monster plant.

Kryptonite was an actual strain that won several harvest festivals in the eighties. It (krypto, krippie, etc) is now a generic term for really good kind bud. I remember there being a cut of this in Florida back in the late eighties, but that was the last time I heard of it directly. It was some of the finest smoke ever to cross my lips, and I sure wish I could find a cut of this today. And yes the color was an almost fluorescent lime green that nearly looked fake, beautiful stuff.

Was the super skunk, skunky or sweet. Im kinda interested in a skunk strain for head stash, is it connaseur quality or more commercial? I always think about the skunky bags of good weed I used to get as a kid for so cheap.

I am growing purple kush on one of my trays, 40 in all. I started with organic pura vida for 12 days and they are turning lime green under 2400 watts. Is this a case of a sick plant, nitro deficeincy or just normality for purple kush? anyone?

Sounds like they are bleaching out because of either too much light or too much water. My current crop of Super Skunk and Blue Mystic did the same thing. I raised the light to about 2 feet higher and the problem seems to have been solved.

From my limited experience, you can really hit your plants with too much HPS real easy.

And I really have to fight to urge to over water.
