Flood and drain questions

okay so here it goes.

basically the plants are sitting ontop of a ebb & flow table 4x8 in 4x4x4 inch rockwool spread 2 inches apart from each other. air pruning is being used to control the roots. they are sitting directly on the table with nothing under them or ontop of them.

How often should one water rockwool in a setup like this, also should the food stay at a constant ppm or gradually increase. also what level should the water be in relation to the rockwool cube (height of water when watering, (so say just flow over the bottom or literally three quarters up the cube and soak it) . (can i water with 350 ppm say 5 times a day oppose to watering with a food water food water cycle.)

Another question, can rockwool be treated like any other soiless medium (coco) in regards to watering patterns. (okay i understand rockwool can be overwatered but in my experience this has only been when the rockwool cube is actually touching water is this true?)

I am a former coco, dwc and soil grower this is my first attempt at tables. and sadly the learning curve is uhhh... well its something.

so basically i want a watering + feeding schedual that i can follow.

I was kinda brought into things a bit late and im basically playing catch up and trying to learn this system from scratch very quickly. i have found a total lack of information on this topic as i have looked but im sure this is due to og dieing.

Hope ya'll can help

im thinking of running a flood and drain system for one of my rooms, i was wondering how large of plants can you get from these systems? also i am going to be veging in a 4inch net cup so when i transfer it into the system it will still have the net cup on it, will this effect the growth ability of the plant?

Once every 3 hours lights on, some say none at night, I do one. The water should just touch the rockwool, it will soak it up. I don't get the food, water, food water thing....depending on their age, PPM will go up to 1400+ but I've never heard of water/food. You control the PPM's, 350 if they are seedlings, then go up from there each week

in flowering it seems around 1000ppm (@.5 of EC or 2000EC) is a good target. (U should always make sure the ppm scale is the one you want - in USA ppm is half of EC but in Europe its .7)

From there I think the ppm and water use should be in line so if the plant drinks 5% of water a day and uses 5% of ppm then the total ppm will stay the same even tho water going down.

yer once ever 3 hours same as a drip system... but i do at night too ... the reason for this is not for the plants but for the oxygen levels in the tank , if the water in the tank lays still for a night cycle ...especially in flowering as thats 12 hours the water over time can go stagnant , thats the idea behind the 3 hour feeding times..... keep the oxygen levels up and things wont go tits up!!!

I think I water every 2-3 hours and once at night.

Never heard of going food, water, food, water. I do flush sometimes for a day when doing a rez change.

And 350 PPM on any scale for a plant in flower is probably way too low
