She's outside, a clone i put out arround early april at 43degrees N, western new york.. i topped her after she rooted in the ground, and she revegged for a few weeks than continued to vegetate with 2 main stalks.. i lst'd the stalks, tying them down in seperate directions, creating new growth.. :D

its now almost septmember, and my plant isnt flowering yet!! their suppose to begin arround mid-august in my area.. only a few branches that are getting low light are even starting to flower. is it because the only nutes i have are nitrogen-based, and ive been using these so late?? Im afraid shes not gonna be finished before frost, what should i do? :fsu:

pics soon

Bet ya got alot of red / purple on the leaf stems & stalk.

Low rain & cold lately - Boost the P bro, N is barely needed at this point of year, stretch is way over..

give it time. Nature will take care of the rest. Now is the time for high P, low N.

sounds like you have a sativa pheno, it take a while for them to start flowering so be patient. try some bloom fert of some kind, if ya can't get some good stuff from a grow store try miricle grow bloom ferts.

any idea what the clone is?
A bag of high P bat guano will only set ya back $10 max. you'll only need a cup or so of it and just topfeed before it rains or before you water.

If you can't get that, you can always just go to a garden store or a place like lowes/home depot that sells garden supplies and look on the back at the NPK ratios and find something high in P.

If she's starting to throw hairs and its an indica dom plant, you should be good. Unless its a really wet fall or gets cold sooner than normal, it should be good outside til at least october 15th or 20th. If its frost resistant/mold resistant, possibly til november 1st or so.

I got the clone from a dude who grows mostly skunk variations, but im not sure what my girl is. It's probably a SkunkXRomulan, PurpleKushXHaze (His version of purple haze, veryyyy nice), or a LemonSkunk.. Most of his crosses are hybrids, somewhere arround 50% indica/sativa, so that could explain the late flower time..

ill pick up some nutrients soon. thanks guys

If it is a Haze hybrid, and a hazey genotype flowering may onset late. One of my favorite plants picked from SSH, and an old fave from years ago which was Seed Bank Haze x Nl#5 were/are late starters.

Flowering outdoors with either you would not see flowers begin to appear till around Mid September. Other more typical strains start to flower 1st part of August. Infact both genotypes picked from both take/took 5-6wks 12/12 to even start flowering indoors. Many times i would reduce to 10/14 to get them started a bit quicker.

Reason being the equatorial sativas in them. Equatorial types are closer to perinial than annuals. This being because it pretty much 12/12 all year around. So you have wait longer till the natural light cycle reduces farther, and more or less forces flower on them. Some equatorial types even have to be a certain age before they will even attempt to flower(from seed).

These aren't showing sativa dominant traits.. Dedinatly not a pure indica either, its a hybrid.. And I know for a fact that most of his clones are infact hybrids, but leaning more towards the indica side cause he likes to finish his plants earlier indoors/outdoors..

So am in danger of them not finishing before frost?? Im at 43N, so it usually occurs around late September/mid-October..

Yeah, you'll be lucky to finish a fast indica in that time.

How high of an N does your current nutes have? I know having too high of a N level can keep a plant from flowering...
And perhaps it would be best to force flower?

Just asked on the NJ - DE - PA growers unite thread & these guys take plants into Nov.

That eased some stress here & hopefully for you too.

I think I can pull something off.. I went out and checked her today and most of the branches had at least some big white pistils coming out, some branches further along beginning to bud, and a few branches with only tiny white hairs that still look like their slowly swithching over to flower..
.......It's odd, obviously my plant is finally beginning to bud but I've never seen different branches on the same plant at different stages.. Usually all my branches flower at the same rate. It's probably because of the late LST and topping branches I did :D

Anyways, I gave her a shot of some nutrients today that had higher Potassium/Phosphorous and less Nitrogen on the N-P-K scale.. Hopefully that will speed things up!! :rasta:

Last year I only had 1 plant and it turned male so I just left it there. If I remember it kept growing fine past Halloween into November, so maybe I can really pull this off

Can you imagine painting a few 50 gal garbage cans cammo and building a solar powered light-trapped cooling system for forcing flowering? LOL

Imagine going on a hike with your dog and running across a small field of cammo cans :rasta:

well, now i know why my girl started budding so late!! now the buds are swelling all over and packing on lotsss of frosty chrystals, and taking on a bluish/pruple color.. the smell is VERY potent and soooo good, a stinky mix of cotton candy and grape bubblegum, its a dead giveaway to what strain it is!! :joint:

The amazing appearance and smell of the buds growing reminds me of some excellent buds I've smoked from the person who created this cross.. So my plant is definatly a confirmed PurpleKush X Haze cross, which explains the extra time she took to start floweing!! I've smoked the buds grown indoors before, and they smell and look exactly like my plant - blue/purple, frosty as hell, and smells very strong like a grape cotton candy!! :D

I am positive this is what my plant is.. The grower gave this cross a couple names BlueCottonCandy or PurpleHaze. It smells/looks/tastes/smokes amazing, and the smoke gets you sooo baked!! The Haze in the cross most likely made my plant start budding slow, but I've heard from the grower that she doesn't take too long to finish.. And I can tell by the smoke that the PurpleKush makes this an indica-dominant plant, so I shouldn't be worried.

I spotted the first hairs arround the very end of August/first few days of Sept., so I'm planning harvest for sometime around Halloween (Oct. 31st), a solid 2 months of flowering time. Harvest time isnt definite yet, I'll see things go.. But I'm definatly picking a bud early to dry/smoke on Halloween!! A complete finish for the rest of the buds, than I'll hang the whole plant to dry for awhile, cut the buds seperatly to dry completely, and stash it all in my screw-lid tupperware bin for a nice cure (2-3 weeks at least)..
.......I expect to get arround an eighth total, maybe it a bit more, but its okay cause this stuff is looking bomb!! :rasta:
