Aquaponics Setup Questions

Hello,

I've read the how-to's for doing an aquaponics setup, but I'm not sure if I understand correctly exactly how to proceed. From what I've read, the water will create a nutrient film that will clog drip emitters. How then, do you bring water up over the hydronton or perlite or whatever the plant is in?

ebb and flow works well in aquaponics, or nft just get rid of the drippers and have a constant slow flow

sounds confusing i wood do constant drip with a 220 microm filter or just a pair of pantyhose

I wouldn't!

Drips don't work. Ebb and flow, or constant flow, feck drippers, pathetic wee things. Pantyhose?

Ignore the above would be wise to start with.

Get a fish tank, plumb it to hydro (not drippers or misters), proceed.

Honestly, for beginners, ebb and flow is the best, easy, and forgiving.
