What kind of questions do you have?

Is your whole area full with only 40 plants? What size room are you in?

provide as much information as you possibly can, because that will allow for some of the experienced indoor growers roaming these threads to make better suggestions. please tell us about your soil, your nutrients, your water source and the strains you are running. some additional information about the grow room (temperature, humidity etc) would also be very helpful.

i would suggest that you maintain a consistent canopy level, and fill all available canopy space to maximize your yield. make sure you start training your plants from an early age by using string to tie down long shoots. once the top of your canopy has hit the level you want, i would "lollipop" the bottom parts of your plants. what i mean by that is trim the bottom branches that are not going to receive quality light (you will notice some very underdeveloped shoots near the base of your plants). by reducing the amount of bud sites on the low parts of the plant you will allow for better development of large nugs toward the top. although you might take a small hit in terms of overall weight, but this lost weight is debatable since it is generally underdeveloped, "hash bound" popcorn nugs.

be very gentle with your nutrient solution until you have substantial enough experience with your strain(s) to determine how heavy of a load they can handle. early on in your grow, it is best to keep things as simple as possible, because the more factors you introduce that you are not completely familiar with, the more things that you can do wrong which in the end will compromise yield and quality. you will not be able to make up for an imperfect environment (too little co2, too much heat, poorly ph balanced water, lack of attention to pests/mold/mildew) later on in your grow, or with the best feeding schedule in the world. so make sure you have a definite plan, and have all the elements that you can control dialed in before you start your flowering phase.

treat all of your growing experience from here forward as a learning experience, absorb as much knowledge as you can and treat your plants with the utmost respect. a few extra minutes here and there to notice all the things your plants are doing every day will allow you to avoid problems that will severely impact your end result

also, from the looks of it you might need to step up your nitrogen intake (during veg), but it may just be the hps bulbs giving them that tint.

if you make a habit of posting your pics here once or twice a week ill (along with others hopefully, caligreen, greyskull where you at?) give you advice to the best of my knowledge (based on my experience) considering our grows are somewhat similar in terms of size.

good luck!

As Far as suggestions, I agree with Vigilo, Defiantly need a "Scrog" as apposed to "Sog". Chicken wire is usually fine. I can't tell what you are using as far as soil, cocoa, what, but I would defiantly also recommend Using a hydro system if you can. DWC set ups are fairly cheap, arguably. And I agree with suckerrepel, if thats not the color from they lights, those babies look just a lil bit hungy. Good luck!
