Nice and tight internodes, roots looks good too but it's a bit different from seedling to seedling how big roots it got.

Good morning lurkers

Had a good nights sleep, got up and took my morning tour in the garden.

It's funny as I have'nt been getting up this early for years, now im up every morning around 8 to check the garden. Funny internal clock, let's see if we can F**k it up with a nice size joint

Have a good one

Another night have passed :jump:

Hope everyone had as great a sleep as I did!

The seedlings are growing fine, they seem to like it in the room. I turned off a little light, it have helped alot on the room temps too. Taken it down around 10 F / 5 C degrees, so thats just perfect and im not useing the whole room anyway.

The Nephthys seedlings are also doing well, they are more uniform in size/height then the BG's. They are also tighter in the internodes so far, it's gonna be interesting to see what this will end up with in size and yealds.

Hard Pruning

Hard Pruning

Pruning

I have started to prun my SSH new moms, training them into helthy moms that will mass produce lot's of healthy an even sized clones.

We all know pruning and some know hard pruning, here I will try to put some clear pic to it. It's proberbly been done a milion times befor here, but never the less im gonna do it too :joint:

Pruning or topping is common used in all lines of horticulture. Some people like it more then others, it have both good and bad sides. Some plants/strains just don't react well on topping in flower, others will give a much bigger yeald.

Hard pruning is not as common mentioned in cannabis growing, maybe it's be cause people dunno the difference.

I start my moms by letting them grow 5-6 nodes tall, sometimes removeing the first node to give me a little space from the top of the media to the lowest branch. When they are 5 nodes tall and the 6th node is forming I start the hard pruning.

I save the bottom 3 nodes, removeing the 4th node just under the side shots. Leaving the 4th internode on the plant, this will make the 3 nodes below grow more or less syncroniced controlled by the auxin production in the meristematic tissue in growth tips and root system.

[From Wiki] Auxins derive their name from the Greek word auxano (to grow). They were the first of the major plant hormones to be discovered and are a major coordinating signal in plant development. Google this if u don't know what it is, it's really interesting reading for the geeky grower!

The Hard pruneing will give a more uniform plant, easyer to controll and produceing more cuttings. Compared to regula pruneing where you just remove the top grow tip, this should make the 3 grow tips grow simultaneous makeing them 3 equal main steams later on.

The goal is to make 16 moms, that will produce aprox 80 -100 uniform cuttings each. Im aiming at 1200 clones as a minimum every 4th week or so!

Bubblegum seedlings in 12/12

What can I say, they are growing nice and have a good color. They had a fair growth rate over the last 2 days, it's prety easy to see the growth in the pictures with my fist next to the seedling in this post and the previus posts.

The bottom side shots are also starting to grow, Im ekspecting I will be takeing some cuttings of the lower branches when they get a little bigger. That will give me lot's of nice selection, there is a few hundred seedlings to choce from. Only the stong once will be cloned, natural selection in the cloning too. One or two cuttings per plant, if they don't root it's most likely not a strong plant or keeper genetics and I won't bother more with it.

Nephthys seedlings

They are looking nice and uniform, not much to say about them that have'nt been said in the post above. They will go thru the same as the BG, takeing some cuttings and doing a nice selection job inbetween the Pandora seedlings. I only started 110 Pandora seeds, compared to 950 BG seeds. The BG seeds for some reason had a poor sprouting rate, but I blame the RW cubes or me and not the seeds. Some of the RW cube slaps did close to 100 % sproutin and other slaps only had like 25% sprouts MAXIMUM a week later then the rest.

Hot Butter - Popcorn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9N4ckFN96-k Always a hit LOL

Im haveing a very good time, it's weekend and have'nt really been working. Just in this morning and took some pics as the light went on and checking the pH/ec, then it's back to "work" monday mornig. Got alot of moms growing wild, dunno if im just gonna prune them or do some clones for new moms.

The SSH clones are takeing the training on well

Wax on...... Wax off! - Make your Kung Foo Strong! :joint:

So far they have just been growing a little, but roots are comeing out the bottom of the pots now. They are soon big enough to go on the automatic feeding, started training them by bending the steams into the directions I wanna have them grow.

Squees n' bend tech lol no I don't know what it's called, but by squeesing the steam a little befor bending I make shure it won't snap!

Started up the aeroflo again, it's been cleaned and cleaned and cleaned once more. The final citric acid really did wonders on the waste nutrients n shit, that had build up inside the feeding lines and grow tubes.

I spend a bit longer time on rooting the clones this time then useualy, hopeing they will do better now they are in the aeroflo that have given me many gray hairs.

Starting them up soft, useing 2x 400 watt HPS for veg. I don't have 2 MH lights I could spare in the tent, but 800 watt HPS is deffently all right for veg of 28 clones. Later I plan on swaping the bulps and ballasts to 2x 600 watt HPS, when the folia cover the grow tubes giveing shade. It will protect the roots a bit more and water from heating up, when I switch to 1200 watt.

The air cooled 400's can really go close to the plants too, but I have once expirianced the light was so close that alge started t grow inside the aeroflo. The lid plugs over the drain holes, are not light proof :nono:

The cuttings are soon ready to flower, the rooted have been moved from the perlite table, potted and placed on a table with hydroton. There is'nt room for the all on one table, so the last bit is still on the perlite table and will be washed befor they go into the aeroponic systems. The filters will take care of the rest!

I got a intake filter, internal pump filter and finaly a disc filter on the feedling line. Preventing mister clogging from particles. I have been looking for a disc filter plug for the internal pump filter, but with no luck so far.

15 cuttings did'nt have roots showing, they stand alone first in one of the pictures.

Bubblegum seedlings 12/12 from seed

Some of them are growing like crasy, others are not growing much at all. I fear I migh got them started a bit early on nutrients, but thats just a shame and not much to do about it now. Either they will make it or they will not!

Males are starting to show, found a bunch of males I have removed from the flower room into the mother room. Im not planing on saveing the BG males, but im gonna flower them along with the Pandora males just in case there is a really nice resin produceing male inbetween. U never know if u don't check!

Nephthys seedlings 12/12 from seed

There is a single pandora seedling that have started to flower, showing a nice female crown of pistils.

Also here a bunch of males have been removed, the whole setup have been changed into flower nutrients now they are starting to show sex, but im gonna keep feeding them a slight high N in atleast 3-4 weeks more to enshure a little streach. They don't look like they will yeald much with the size they got now!

Nephthys males

Male flowers - Seems like u can never show how males look like to often, so here is one from me

Good mornin everybody :bigeye:

Took some pic's this morning, now im uploading and tokeing some weed and Iso oil. Quite nice breakfast!

The training of the SSH's are going fine, killed a branch or two tho but who gives a damn. There will be plenty of branches on thouse baby's in a month from now, aiming for a bunch of nice little "bonzai" moms.

A short stop at the aeroflo tent with SSH clones under 2x 400 watt HPS VEG
pH was a bit low this morning, topped with tab water and let it settle around 5.6
