If you could wish for a perfect bud, what are some of the attributes you would want in it and how important are those attributes

is taste more important to you than look? how about smell before and after burning?

Most important is that you choose attributes that you have experienced before.

If you can tie that attribute to a strain even better

I didnt put seed or plant because it would make the thread to borad in aspect

I am talking strictly from a smokers perspective not a growers

My dream weed would be og kush that grows like a heavy yielding indica. The weed needs to taste the same the whole way through. Like if you took a rip off of a pipe and set it down and came back the next day and hit it it should taste like a green rip. My preference at least.

a VERY strong smell of a sweet roadkill skunk, and taste like citrus

and high like BLOCKHEAD on the indica side.

and finish in about 45days.

ive had a cpl plants that fit each of those, but not all at once.

ive had the BH that finishes 45 days and will almost slay ya

ive had an extreme citrus "love potion"

and 1 of FJ's "cherry chunks" was the strongest sweetest skunky things ive ever smelled....and taste and potency top notch!

Im with Mrs. Greengenes. I want my bud to taste the same, nice gren hit, alllll the way through. I am a fan of rolling joints fatter than me fingers. Im not a fat guy but my girlfriend says my fingers look like Jimmy Deans, that one always gets me when Im high and busy playin a nasty game of find your feet . I am a huge fan of all tastes I love chem/sour tasting buds but I also love a fruity tasting bud. I guess as far as taste I'd like it to be pungent and sour on the inhale and fruity on the exhale. Smell Id like a nice compromise between fruit, sour/chem & HAZE. Damn do I love the smell of some good well cured haze. Cheers

I dont smoke but i know that if I was going to harvest the perfect bud it would have to be pink or purple in color. A fragrance that was clearly distinctive, Not a guess or inference. Manicured till there was not even a site of fan leave. So crystalized that it looked like any of dj shorts strains (properly grown that is). Cured for a minimum of 4 weeks in mason jars then given to my wife and if I catch a contact in bed from the bong, last all night, then this is perfect cheeba!!!!

Important attributes to me are first and foremost potency. I don't like having to puff and puff to reach my cloud. The more potent, the better. CAVEAT: some potent buds have bad aftertaste, or even a slight hangover, probably from all the chemicals they put in the soil or hydro table. So, I prefer potency be reduced, to avoid any nasty aftertaste or hangover or headache.

I've had two types of extremely potent weed in the 2000's: kush and Indigo Gold. I like the latter best, by far, even though they are about equal in potency. Reason is, the kush seemed all chemical and artificial, and the taste was off, kinda metallic, ya know? Also there was a morning after effect that was not pleasant.

My perfect bud has that trichome PUFF collar trait ive seen in alotta strains. Like deep chunk from tom hill its soo damn furry around the rim of the leaf. There are plenty of strains i could name that have this trait im talking about but to name a few here :firstly the deep chunk from tom hill obviously would be the prime examle and then alot of beancounters plants for some reason have this trait for some reason(is it the nutrients and environment?)then the SFV kushes ive seen have this but not as pronounced as these others : Sleepy has grown an incredible green godess that had that trait, from what i remember JLP had a blue satellite #2 that had that same trait and most recently krome and Joeshmoes "the white" grows both had that "trichome puff collar" and a profuse amount of trichome coverage on the inside of the large fan leaves and stems.
The secondary trait i really look for is smell and taste, its gotta smell kind and appealing some of the less potent or watered down varietys have a 'hay' smell that really annoys me. I like smells that delete other smells by that i mean opening up a bag of weed and only smelling that when presented with other smells.
And finally i like a good yield these three criteria are the three most important parts without the one, to me, you cannot have the other. Like a pretty and stinky plant dont do you much good if you dont get much of it...etc etc....ill try to find pics of the "trichome puff collar" trait i go on about here.

What i have compiled here are a few examples of this trait i love and find so fascinating!!! i myself have a pheno exhibiting this trait which ill add last!

some of the attributes I like in weed

A) Pronounced Trichomes. To me they are like seeing the lighter skin under a hot girls bikini. it gets my heart racing cause its a real good sign of good things to come

B) Pronounced Flowers. I like each flower to be the size of a BB, not a cluster, but each individual flower should be big enough to be coveted

C) Smell. There are two types of smell. 1 is the preburn smell. If its my dreambud it is going to smell so strong that it should make people stop what they are doing and immediately. Smokers should be drawn to the smell like a moth to a flame. The post burn smell should be as distinct as the preburn smell and should smell like an incense (i.e. more aroma than smoke smell)

D) Color. I love colors. Ill mention the Kodiak Gold that graces the home page. If your going to aim for beauty thats a great mark. I like pink buds too, but that KG purple pheno is off the hook

E) smoke should be soft, very lightly expand the lungs enough to make you know you inhaled smoke but not harsh enough to contrict the broncules. Once again i remeber a nice soft kush as being a good candidate

F) Feel. I said it. feel. After I touch a bud I want to feel 2 things sticky and gritty, even after its cured i want sticky. I want somehting that will gack up my grinder. Dense but not rock fucking hard

G) Very low leaf to flower ratio.

H) smaller buds 1-3 graam being a good range. I want as much surface area for more visable triches

I) potency - it should be so fucking strong that it should be feared but the hish so mellow you dont care when you should be fearful of effects

J) High should be on the warm side, the kind that makes you forget your smoking and not care that you did. It should be cerebral enough to add a 3rd dimension to how you think, it should dismiss anxiety and pain and magnify happiness, and warp your perception enough that you see the world for what it is and not what you want it to be.

my dream bud is......amnesia haze.......awesome sativa high....no panic anxiety attack....4 hour high....come down nice and easy.....after 4 hours....roll another joint....another 4 hour high......has everything looks...taste....high

If I was Soma I would have called it *Dream Haze*

I was checking it out after smoking....and the shit looks like some mad scientist invented it....the high was the best out of any bud I have ever smoked (about 15 year experience)
