Mid August ontario update Pictures

Well things are moving along despite the horrible weather, Mold is running wild and i never have mold problems (well nothing of note) but i have lost more this year than the last 7 years put together. On a brighter note watering has been a breeze and i will get to select some really early mold resistant plants to be parents of next years crop. Almost everything is flowering and a few buds have been picked so here are a few pictures from this morning.

Love the number of buds on this plant

full size plant and early

same plant from further back GGxEarly Riser

The mother from this one was a dark purple seedling from Lethal Purple and a Sweetooth x Northern Lights male

closer shot of the same

another purple beast

GG x Purple seedling showing some great trichome coverage thanks to the GG

Good old GG truly is the best of the early flowering strains IMHO

fantastic pictures the first one like from a magazine or something
and the purple cola :yummy: looks just delicious

Thanks everybody that purple has a very citrus like smell and last year her mother produced some very nice smoke, a long lasting creeper that was great for party's. I was out crossing most of these with a couple nice looking males so next year has me exited already. I do love growing this plant.

compliments on your grow, and seed producing efforts. the purple is beautiful. I am building a collection of my own strains aswell to ensure availibilty of good genetics, because when we have a new international order i dont think we will be able to obtain genetics so freely. Hope it starts to dry up so those beautys can finnish up safely.

I feel it is vital that everyone does there best to maintain their own genetics both for themselves and to share with other growers. The US is a nightmare for seed sales and Canada might be heading down a similar path (though i really hope not) so who knows how long we will have good seeds available. Just like growing an extra row of vegedables to give to the local soup kitchen we should all devote a few branches to producing some seeds to give to our fellow growers. End rant

Big UP, man. that stuff looks great. Lets hope for some clear finishing weather!

Also I couldn't agree more witht he 2 of you on the seed issue. More energy should be put into creating (or preserving) stable strains to move us foward with higher quality genetics and self sufficiency.

The GG looks real good I cant wait to try mine. Nice pics

those look damn nice. and really f-ing early, too. with all this rain we've been having it wouldnt surprise me that there's mould growing on them. just cut those sections out. hopefully lots of sun will prevent anymore from growing on them.
and i liked your words about making seeds. i really hope the canadian gov't doesnt end up making them illegal in the future, but it might be good to prepare for the worst.

Thanks for the kind words and all things considered i am stoked with all the different early flowering plants i have going this year. I will update as things move along and pray for less rain (i think thats the first time i have ever said that lol)

Those are really, really impressive. I am growing mostly Early Misty, which is a good producer but far from early. I am now in the unpleasant position of having to visit my dealer as last year's crop has run out. I just have to get some GG crosses. Where is the best place to order them from?

Lethal Purple i had about 6 females and they where all pretty consistant in the color department however they where the only plants that year that had mold issues and they where not ready to well into october so i wasn't to impressed however the smoke was pretty good. Apart from this year mold has always been a minor problem at my grow local (dryish summers and great drainage) so the lethal purples tendancy toward mold was a big issue for me.
On a brighter note we have five days this week where the forcast doesn't call for rain if it actually happens i will be really happy as this has been the most miserable rain soaked summer i can remember, i just hope todays severe thunderstorms haven't damaged anything.
Long live the weed.
