Looking good Rob. I dont think you need to worry about messing up that top. I've done that many times before. You would be surprised at how hardy MJ plants are. You can make a sort of "Crutch" by getting two sticks to hold the stem straight until it heals enough. Just use some of that wire that comes on bread when you buy it to keep it closed. Just wrap it around the stems and teh two sticks to hold the stem together. I've used tape too just take it off after the stem looks healed. Usually only takes about 2 weeks and its good to go. just watch out for a windy day it could snap it off too. GL man.

Cool man, thanks for the tips. I've used like..plant ties before, pretty close to a twist-tie thing, seems to work good and kind of protects it. I guess I can just hope for the best. I think they are just starting to flower a bit, hopefully I get more pcis soon

Hey guys, hopefully someone is still out there...
Been a while since an update but heres the latest:

End of Week 26 is tomorrow, seems like they are starting to flower, slowing in the growing process. Have to try to remember to get an accurate height measurement next time. You can see with the pics just a few pistils here and there, nothing coming out of the tops of the budsites yet. It just started to get around 14 hrs daylight a few days ago, so I guess they are where they should be. Still nervous about the finishing date, but that's all in time. Guess we got a shit load of rain last night, plants are a bit flooded, I tried to improve the water ways through the shit my plants are growing in, helped a little. They don't look droopy at all so I think they'll be fine. Also kinda still worried about my broken branch, there was some weird shit in the broken part when I inspected it, need to tape it up or something.....
Still good on the bug front, and they actually look healthier (greener) than I was expecting, probably going to feed them 5-1-1 and a bunch of molasses before flowering starts, still working on flower ferts....Might get MG, might get Dr. Hornby's Big Bud, and I have Jack's Classic 10-30-20 in storage, not really close to here....
Sorry for the rambling, here are the pics. :smoke:

Went back today. all the water was gone but the ground was still a little wet for feeding/watering them. Also broke a stem off the bushy one, no idea how but I'm pretty pissed about it. Finally, took another glance at the male I dumped out the pot about a month ago....still alive! Not only that but it turns out its a hermie, and it had actual buds on it (pistils coming out of the top of budsites) which neither of my other plants have....explain that one :nono:

finally took it off and ripped it up for good :fsu:

well males flower before females, not sure about hermies, they are probably along the same lines as males though ...flowering early

Yea you might be right about that...

Went out today to feed them, finally got them some fish emulsion and some molasses. Lost that fucking branch that survived for so long :badday: Actually seemed like it got worse once I taped up the break. Oh well, shit happens I guess. Also had to tie my big plant down a little, was blocking sun from the smaller one. Its gotta be at least 6' now though. No pics yet, hopefully soon.

Pics will be up later or tomorrow

Little bit of an update today. Have some pics might have more later. Currently the end of Week 28 for these girls. Everything looks good for the most part, noticed a decent amount of budding compared to last weeks pics, still haven't been given anything for bloom. However, today they will! Ended up going to a hydro store down in Foxboro, pretty close to Gillette. Great place, the guy there was pretty chill too.
Ended up getting Super Single Bloom 3-4-7 "A Millenium Garden Product" I don't know if I'll need to bump up the P at some point but we'll see...anyone's thoughts on that?
My bushy plant looks like one side is differently colored than the other, it is..I don't know why..sunlight exposure maybe? Overall they look healthy though. Getting excited about flowering and praying for a good harvest. Thanks for coming by. :joint:

First 5 pics are all the big one. definitely reached the 6' mark. Oh and its been beautiful here for a while, high 70's mostly, little chilly at night maybe around 50-55.

Heres the latest on my 2 girls...finally back with an update. Today is 4 weeks into flowering period.

Drove back to see my ladies earlier I was getting worried about them, and I wanted to feed them again. First thing I see when I get to them is the big plant completely fallen over onto the little one! :cuss: I started to panic a bit, I don't know how long its been like that, but I don't think more than a few days. Had alot of rain from 2 different storm systems and some significant wind a day or 2 ago. Also, as mentioned above two of the big stalks were tied to nearby branches so I was worried about them breaking. This is what you'll see in the first pic, the little plant is completely hidden. After freaking out for a minute I ran and got some metal stakes and propped it back up. The little plant was ok, looked like it had smaller buds and one side was deficient in something, but all in all ok. In other news, it was very exciting to see the bud development on the big one, and the smell was very pleasant, a little fruity and overall pungent. I guess I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Also saw a weird bug, no clue what it is but I don't think its harmful or anything.

Lastly, I fed them something different this time. What I had used in previous grows, Jacks Classic 10-30-20 Bloom Booster. About 1.5 tbsp/2 gallons with some added molasses.

Oh...and I took a bud of the big one I know how ya'll look down upon that but I couldn't help it. I'd take a pic but it kinda got smushed in the paper bag I put it in.

PEACE :joint:

Big plant fallen over on top of other one, cant even see it.

small one, buds are in the next pic

rest are pics of bigger plant.

pretty sure this is the same bud thats sideways above:

Finally got a chance to take some pics. On top of what you can see I got a few buds that are dirty and probably will be turned to hash. Also might try to cook or something with the popcorn buds. Haven't weighed any of it so far...
Trichomes look surprisingly decent for an early harvest so I was happy about that. High is reallllly head high, pretty sure it is indica dom. to begin with. Might take some more pics once they get to curing and in jars or whatever. Peace.
:smoke:

The bud pics are all the same bud, (except the one that's not as close up, think that actually the other plant (smaller one)) trimmed it in between the pics though.

still no replies?

Trimmed and weighed a bunch of it, total is just shy of 4 ozs not counting any of the shit on the actual drying rack and anything I've already smoked or given away.

N

North

ok.. i'll bite.

I need to go back and read up on your grow here.

but why did you cut early/did I miss the reason?

EDIT- ok read the whole thread, you should have been IN the ground from the start, growing in little containers means small plants and lots of watering.

second- looks like you must have been in a low area, great on a dry year bad on a wet year. my thoughts are I can haul water in, but not help a drowned plant.

third-dig BIG holes, use slow release ferts.

now the negative stuff

you seem to check them alot, thats dangerous.

your worried about your parents? thats dangerous also. :nono:

read more, start early ,plan longer.

sorry to sound like an ass ,not trying to be.

Yo North. thanks for your thoughts.
I'm pretty sure I mentioned it but I ended up having 3 plants that I never got to flower indoors and ended up outdoors, lack of planning indeed, nevrmind that it was my first try outside and had no idea what to expect. Yea, had to cut early from signs of mold and rot. I had no idea it got so flooded where they were.

Final weight is right around 7.5 oz, very happy to have met and slightly exceeded my goal weight, with a good amount more on the plants, hopefully not ruined...

Well this season is officially over for me, no complaints. When I went back to them (week 8 of flower) there was more than I was expecting and cut it all down, started getting a little purple too from the cold. Lost a decent amount of the small plant but the bigger one seems to be much more mold resistant. might have got another 2-3 z's so total is around 10 ozs I hope. I know I didn't impress you guys with your fancy strains and big harvests but i'll be back next year to try to get your attention :muahaha: Peace & Love
