Wondering if anybody has heard anything about this new line of organic products from Botanicare
It seems to me they got asked if PBP was organic enough times that they decided to capitalize on that market.
Products actually seem a little different though but interesting none the less. They are not out yet but they already got the marketing so it's coming. The guy at the store told me they should have them pretty soon. He already had a couple sample products. Supposedly they are releasing a new line of containers to go with them.

I'll give a short run down of the products and give you botanicares little intro to their products. If anybody wants I will list all the details on the marketing later.

Ok, so it says....

Organicare
Plant Nutrient System
OMRI listed & organic-based plant nutrients, supplements and grow substrates

Sustainable organic gardening
Organicare is an organic, sustainable gardening system for the avid home gardener, hydro-organic gardeners and certified organic commercial food producers. The Organicare system is a sophisticated yet easy to use combination of formulas that incorporates select, all-natural, eco-friendly ingredients.

On this sheet they have 6 different fertilizers and supplements listed and 2 different "grow substrates".
It seems that there is only one main fertilizer and it is a dry formula that you premix in your media. It is called "Pure" ..... Not OMRI isted
It says.....

Pure organic based plant food is the base for the Organicare Plant Nutrient System. Pure contains only natural, organic ingredients.
Pure's slow release, carbon based, biologically enhanced granules feed beneficial soil microorganisms which, in turn, feed your plants. The end result is naturally superior, rapid, an vigorous growth.

The ingredients in "Pure" are Fish meal, sulfate of potash, alfalfa meal, composted poultry litter, and seaweed. And humic acid derived from leonardite

The other nutes are liquid and are as follows.....

"HUMEX" OMRI Listed
4% humic acid (derived from leonardite)
96% inert ingredients

"FULVEX" Not OMRI
The ingredients just say... Magnesium 1% derived from magnesium sulfate
They claim more like.... Tons of Ionic minerals, high CEC cation exchange capacity (between 500 and 1000).

"SEAPLEX" OMRI Listed
Derived from seaweed

"CALPLEX" OMRI Listed
Calcium 3%......Calcium Carbonate

"NITREX" OMRI Listed
6-0-0 Nitrate Nitrogen
Derived from Chilean nitrate

 OMRI listed?

Sorry if I didnt explain that well enough. The previous product they made was Pure Blend Pro grow bloom etc... MAny thought it to be organic and acceptable in organic grows..This opinion was debated many times....

Now that they have paid the money for the OMRI listing and made a new product that is 100% organic it disproves the theory that they were organic before.....

Hope this clears up what I was trying to get at...

They do have a great reputation though and many stuck by them inspite of their previous semi-organic lineup. Hopefully the new product works just as well if not better and then growers can ditch the old Botanicaire for the new Organicaire

Sophisto, I don't think that these are all completely organic either. Seems like they kinda seperated the organic fom the not with this line up so they could get the certification. I don't think they ever had calcium mined from gypsum before, not sure. And I think they have the nitrogen in one bottle because it wouldn't pass OMRI otherwise. It's sodium nitrate and it can only make up a small percentage of the total nitrogen intake of any crop to pass OMRI certification. This way they can call it a supplement instead of it being to high of a percentage in a complete fertilizer.

Well it's cool ou got em free
I did show off that tent
I was actually kidding about that, too.

Yes, of course I will be running them. Looking at the application rates I should be able to do a small grow start to finish with 'em, and see how they do in coco maybe? :chin:

I'm considering trying 1 organic soil plant to run alongside my coco plants to see what all the fuss is about, as well as a few Organicare-fed plants in coco in a coco garden full of GH 3-part fed plants.

Aren't all the liquids just supplements to the the dry ferts...? At least thats what one hydro store owner that was carrying it said. I mean ones only nitrogen, the other is calcium, another is fulvic and the last is seaweed. So we have Potassium, chelation, nitrogen and calcium... doesn't seem like that would be a complete fert, so I believe they are to be coupled with the dry ferts.

Definitely not the organic hydro solution that I was looking for.

I just got samples of the Seaplex, Humex, and Nitrex. I'm used to using Maxicrop and can tell you that the Seaplex is a whole different animal. Humex smells like regular humic acid and the nitrex is chilean nitrate...has nitrate nitrogen as well as sodium.

Maxicrop is thinner and darker and smells lightly like seaweed.

The Seaplex is heavy and thick, like fish emulsion ans STINKS of kelp meal. Really stinks of concentrated kelp. I think it's gonna rock....we'll see.

I'm disappointed they don't have a Organicare liquid bloom. The base is a dry powder. I can get 10 lbs of Plant-Tone for 7.99....

The Pure Blend Pro rocks whether it's organic or not. Love the stuff but the smell is horribly chemical. Smells like something they'd wipe you down with at the hospital.

Whats the benefits of using that Humex? My guy gave me a free bottle, I wanna try it out on a couple plants and give him some feedback. Problem is on the bottle it says for soil to mix it with the fulvex, he didnt give me any fulvex. Its the same bottle clowtown has in the picture, clowntown must be big ballin to get all 5 of them for free, lol. My dude told me he cant sell it, but I cant remember the reason why(that whole short-term memory thing).

Just wondering what the benefits for humic acid on cannabis are and how I should be feeding with this product(Humex)?

i'm giving this a sample run too. i got sampled the small bottles of humex, fulvex, and a bag of the pure food. we'll see how it goes. i'm really into simplicity (especially during veg) and i'm hoping the pure works good. they were outta seaplex but i'll grab a bottle next time i go.

:fsu: screw pure. that shit is fucking sick. it might work but its chunky pieces of turkey shit. when you get it wet your growroom starts to smell like a chicken coop. maybe it will be better mixing with soil, who knows. the fulvex and humex smells like complete shit too. humex reeks like sulphur and the fulvex i smelled and thought my nose hairs were singed. i thought my mix already couldn't smell any worse! i'm not switching from AN... i;ve had my best grow so far using their products. talk all the shit you want but the proof is in the results.
