Hi All.

call me lucky but for the first time i appear to have some seeds growing one of my blueberrys (you can just see some early ones in the photos)

one of my plants grew some male flowers and being a curious noobie i let them open. now i got lucky and they don't seem to have pollinated the rest of the crop
:jump:

I want to keep them as i like the idea of truly growing my own, how long until they are mature and how do i go about keeping them good when i finally cut the crop??

am learning more all the time so help, links and general derision always welcome

Peace all

Pob

if these plants are from feminised stock will the seeds also be "female" i have no idea about the whole genetics thing as i feel asleep during genetics 101

They'll most likely be hermie seeds since they came from a hermie...

Exactly, it will end up goin hermi and seeding all your bud. Why would you want that?

It wont be a hermi if there was only a few5-6 flowers!I had Blueberry throw a few flowers and the seeds didnt hermi at all!I reveged that same plant with no flowers!

Well there were literally 6 flowers and the plant that produced the male flowers looks like this at the moment.

nothing ventured nothing gained and all that.

Seems that everything turned out fine in the end

so far i have got 30 seeds from the 5 plants probably some more to come but no one has complained so far about the buds being seed ridden.

i am going to plant some out and see what happens

Just because it hermied, does not mean it is a hermie plant, per se.
Could have been a light stress issue.
Could just be a late flower nanner.
I think folks get way too excited and give warnings that may not really be warranted.

Finklsteinshtkd - i want to see what i come out with first as i have a limited supply as it was a happy accident that i got some rouge male flowers previously, i am hoping that these will be feminised seeds as they are from feminised stock but that is open to debate...

also i have no idea where to start with sharing the seeds..

rcknrllmothrfck - I hear ya and will be posting more photos when they are showing flowers (no matter what the sex turns out to be)

Peace :joint:
