Enough CFM in the growbox?

Hello everyone, this is my first post in this section of the forum so please be kind with me hehe. I have recently built an aquarium stand for a good friend of mine and she always wanted to grow weed. So I suggested to her to make a stealth grow box under the aquarium. Thats what we did. I have placed 10X23W mixed (half 6400K and half 2700K) CFL in a 3.25 sq feet compartment and it has 32 inches high. The box needs to be SUPER quiet since she doesn't want people to know she grows, and she uses weed because she suffers from insomnia ( the box is not in the bedroom, but still close). My plan now was to install a Panasonic Whisper fan rated at 80CFM since its noise rating is only 0.4sone. PC fans are way too loud and are very weak with a scrubber so these are not an option.

Will this Panasonic fan move enough of air to keep things cool in there, considering I was going to use 2X 4in. round passive intake?

There may be issues with running the whisperfan 24/7. In the first link below, everyone seemed to love them at first but, after time noise levels starting rising.

The second link is from one who paid to have his Whisperfans taken away and replaced them with S&P MixedVent fans

good to know.

Nano, i have a box(work in progress) that sounds to be only a little larger than yours. My plan is to run two 120mm 110cfm pc case fans. At radioshack you can buy power adapters that have a switch to change from 1.5 to 12 volts, and many other power options in between. So when i wont be around or when i dont need silence i will turn them all the way up. And at 1.5 volts the dbl or whatever should only be around 16.

Hope that helps.

sense the grow box is under a fish tank? i would first get a bigger an louder water filter maybe even two too explain the noise. i would suggest a lil more air movement like 2 80cfm fans with a passive intake that is double the size of the fans(2 4" fans then 4 4" intake holes or 3 3" holes). then use a heat sheild an have one of the fans pulling air throught the upper camber that the lights are in with its one intakes. have the other fan pulling air through the bottom camber with its own intakes. so only have to put a scrubber on the exhaust in the bottom camber. lok for a grow by bongasorous his box is a perfect example

Ok thankyou guys, I'll definately look into seperating the lights from the plants and consider another fan. I might be able to fit 2 fans actually. I'll definately post pictures when everything is done.
