From earth to coco

Hi there
If a one wanted to transplant a mother from earth to coco,should/could one do that?big mum with thick stem and well built root system. Any advice on this?how to do it?

Is taking cuts and starting a new mum in straight coco an option?

I've never done a full on mom plant from soil to coco, but in general, yes, it can be done.
Shake off as much of the soil as you can (i've even run the roots under water to get the soil off, someone here suggested that and it works well) and put that bitch in coco. Pretty much as easy as that.

i usually just throw the root/soil ball under the faucet in the bathtub and rinse all the soil off. hasn't failed me yet.

I've done it with a few plants, no harm done. I shook off the dirt that was on the roots, transplanted, and watered heavily so that it was well set.
