all this about a harmless plant that should be legal in the first frikin place. why was it decided that it is a "drug" (drug war)?
Black Labs... They probably fell down in prayer outside the house after the rain of lead in awe of the miraculous escape from the two black demonic dogs.
Psychopathic thugs.

it is.....

Woodyear said she is appalled about the way her children were treated -- and said her 12-year-old daughter was hit with pepper spray.

The dog, a pit bull terrier named Precious, urinated on the floor in fear and tried to run from the police before it was killed, Woodyear said.

Elijah Bradley said he awoke to find armed men in his home. "They had the shotgun in my face," the 11-year-old said. "I punched at him. I didn't know who he was."

is anyone else getting the feeling that there will be a global cataclysm in a few short years? one so bad that all of the life on planet earth will be affected in a way where they will need to struggle to survive in similar ways as ancient stone age, human.
i have these weird thoughts and dreams that in a few years, something so bad will happen to our planet that earth will be on the verge of total annihilation of all species of life. Think about it, Americans with guns and they could be so hungry with no food to eat. no running water, no food supply lines, failed veggie crops and dying animal edibles, total anarchy, people perhaps doing unheard of things for food. what if, what if hamburger was turned into human burger because people are starving? what do you think they will eat, what will they drink? where will they run to? I have these dreams that our system will fall to pieces and the earth will be left to rebuild itself, overlooking the requirements of humanity.
well, more like a nightmare actually.

think about if earth was hit by a massive solar storm that wiped away 25% of the ozone in one day. everyone on that side of the planet will develope cancer from the solar burst. What if a devastating commit or asteroid hit shortly after? These things have happened throughout the history of earth and it shames me to realize how fragile humanity is, meanwhile, we occupy our time on this earth with civil wars, fighting each other.

To survive in this universe, it takes much more effort than pointing shotguns in the faces of 12 year old children.

Anyway, no more of that talk before the police try to arrest me for withholding evidence.

^^^ Its called the New World Order and there are solutions and war is not 1 of them, they want us to hate and fight each other.

Back to the topic. This is not the first time I heard of something like this. Remember when they busted down the door and killed a 90+ year old women for NO REASON. Its a shame they had to kill innocent dogs. Those cowards need to be smacked around a few times.

I thought they had to sign for the package before they bust in?

They jsut left it on the doorstep and waited for the guy to take it in the house...

what shippnig company was it I wonder

Anyone can send a package to someone's house. And jsut because they take the package in.. doesn't mean anything. What are they supposoed to do.. leave it on the doorstep forever?

There isn't enough evidence. They should have made them sign for the package if the cops wanted a valid case. Nobody is going to sign for a package if they don't know where it's from... and if you do.. well that's pretty dumb in my opinion.

When you sign for a package that is enough evidence to suspect that you were expecting a package and had an idea where it was coming from"

Besides, why would a soccer mom order 32 pounds of MJ?

None of this is going to hold up in court, and I wouldn't be surprised if the cops end up getting sued.

Once it was inside it's called constructive possession, and does give them probable cause to search. Notice when grandma told the man to leave it outside they had to wait. The thing that makes me most suspicious that the package was delivered to the correct, intended address is grandma doing that...it's exactly the right thing to do if you know what's coming and they ask you to sign or even just ring the bell and the sender did the right thing and checked signature waived. Then again if any of that is true she fucked up big time by not letting everyone know to just leave it outside.

Well, they arrested the Fedex guy today, I guess grandma is off the hook after all. Seems they managed to locate a total of 400 lbs. Must have been some good shit too because the cops said it's worth $7500/lb. :wallbash:

Huh?, fed ex didn't deliver it to the house the cops did.

They tracked the package from the shipping facility in az.

So some fed ex guy in az had 400 lbs, but how does 32 lbs inadvertanly get addressed to washington dc?

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (Map, News) - Police said Wednesday they have arrested two men in a smuggling scheme that included the sending of a 32-pound package of marijuana to a Washington, D.C.-area mayor's wife.

The home of Berwyn Heights Mayor Cheye Calvo and his wife, Trinity Tomsic, was raided July 29 by a SWAT team and county narcotics officers after authorities intercepted the FedEx package. Officers shot and killed the family's two labrador retrievers during the raid.

Police told The Washington Post the men, whose names weren't released, are suspects in a scheme to traffic 417 pounds of marijuana by mailing packages to unknowing recipients. Prince George's Police Chief Melvin C. High didn't say the arrests exonerated Calvo and his wife but said they are "likely" innocent. Authorities are still investigating.

At the time of the raid, Calvo said he and his family are innocent, a notion his attorney said was confirmed by the arrests.

Calvo, who called his town "Mayberry inside the Capital Beltway," gets a small stipend as mayor and works at the SEED Foundation, a nonprofit that runs public boarding schools for at-risk students. His wife works as a state finance officer.

i think they are supposed to intercept the package sitting at the random persons house, i.e. not mailing it to there addy. must be like a steak-out waiting for mailman to deliver your 417 lbs. LOL
i wouldnt mail it to me either, id mail it to someone 3 doors down or somthing.

If the stormtroopers invaded my house and killed my dog they best hope I don't get out cause I'm gunning for the punk motherfucker that killed my dog. I for one don't deal well with people abusing animals and to shoot one instead of taze it or hit it with pepper spray is uncalled for.

My dog is my best friend and anyone who harms him has it coming 10 fold.

I also find it hard to believe that they just randomly had drug dogs sniffing parcels at a shipping company, I have multiple friends who work at various shipping companies and I've never heard them have any complaints about shipping pot within state lines.

Mayor Cheye Calvo Should Start Preparing His Lawsuit

Calvo is the mayor of Berwyn Heights Maryland whom I wrote about here. His home was raided by police who broke down the door then shot and killed his two Labrador Retrievers. If you recall:

“Calvo described a chaotic scene, in which he — wearing only underwear and socks — and his mother-in-law were handcuffed and interrogated for hours. They were surrounded by the dogs’ carcasses and pools of the dogs’ blood, Calvo said”.

Police justified the raid by saying that they had observed a large package of marijuana being delivered to, then taken inside the home. At the time I asked why the police didn’t simply go up to the home and ask the mayor about the package instead of using a SWAT raid. Now it looks like the police didn’t have authorization go in without knocking, and made that decision on their own without legal justification. Obviously, if the police had simply gone to the door, the dogs would not be dead nor would the mayor’s family be traumatized.

But wait, it gets worse. From the Washington Post:

“Prince George’s police announced today that they have arrested a deliveryman and one other man they believe are involved with a scheme to smuggle 417 pounds of pounds of marijuana by shipping packages addressed to unsuspecting recipients — including one sent last week to the wife of the mayor of Berwyn Heights”

Calvo’s Lawer:

“Timothy Maloney, an attorney for Calvo and Tomsic, said the arrests confirm that Trinity Tomsic was a “random victim of identity theft. This crime was compounded by law enforcement when it illegally invaded the Calvo home, tied up the mayor and his mother-in-law, and killed the family dogs,” he said in an e-mail. “The Calvo family is still waiting for an explanation from law enforcement as to how this could possibly have happened, and what will be done to make sure it doesn’t happen to other innocent people in the future.”

Its going to be interesting to see how this turns out. Hopefully, this will draw some attention to the militarization of the police which has been responsible for many other mistakes, some of which take human lives.
Heavy stuff, eh???

leo is gonna get his ass kicked :jump:
