farve has retired and come back for 4 str8 years now.
last year it was official tho.
green bay needs to trade him.
or they play him, rodgers leaves after this season to play somewhere else.
then farve will retire again and packers will be stuck w/ a 2nd year qb who isnt ready for the big time named brian brohm.
farve is nothing but a selfish child who is attention starved.
does he really think they are gonna go 13-3 again?
not w/ a first place schedule they wont.
i could care less either way, but i would love to see him in the playoffs again this year.
he gave the game to my giants last year.
~~~farve in the huddle~~~ "hey guys, im gonna force it to driver after i close my eyes. i hope corey webster doesnt pick this off and send us all home for the rest of the year"
the giants should give farve a ring for gift wrapping that victory for us.
GO GIANTS, FUCK THE PACKERS!
WOOOOOO
I think he should've just stayed retired. What's the point of coming back for a year to end up playin for the bucs which aren't going anywhere deep in the playoffs[if they get to the playoffs] anyway. This whole thing is just a mess. It would be interesting if the bucs trade him to the vikings like he wanted in the first place. Favre and Peterson would be fun to watch I guess. Looks like Strahan will have the stage all to himself in Canton in a couple years which is a good thing.
Farve needs to retire, move back home to Mississippi, and marry his first cousin. They can drive the old pick-up truck over to Louisiana on the week-ends and double date with Jerry Lee Lewis and he's cousin wife.
He isn't being an ass to want and play something he misses. He turned down 20 million dollars to NOT play. He obviously just misses the game.
How long would he play though? Coach just wants Aaron Rogers to play and progress, not have Farve play for a few years and have no one after. He wants to move on and make something out of Aaron Rogers instead of letting Farve live out his dream. Other people have dreams too and Aaron Rogers+the Coach can't put their dreams on the bench and sit there and wait.
Farve was #3 rated QB last year, still great, but Aaron Rogers is great also and can maybe even run!
I want him to play and have another good year for who ever he lines up under center for...Only because i drafted a crappy QB on my fantasy team and i picked favre up on waivers.
If i didnt play fantasy football i could care less if he was dead.
I think its a tough situation all around. For someone like me, Favre is the Packers. When I hear Packers, I think Favre. He was the face of the organization for such a long time. I think he felt rushed out the door by Thompson. And it is no secret that Thompson has wanted the Favre Era to end.
I think the best solution would be to grant him his release. I feel like it would show that the team still respects him and if Favre accepts the release it will show that he cares about the team and does not want to mess with what they have going on right now.
If I was top dog in the pack, you would have to drag my bloody body off to get me off the field. Chicago will trade grossmistake for him and throw in the sears tower.
P.S. - I heard Aaron Rodgers was looking pretty iffy in their Offense vs Defense scrimmage. Prone to mistakes and when he would mess up once, it would just go all down hill from there. He looked great in that game against the Cowboys, but it will be interesting to see him in his first game.
i think that the packers were fucking morons to let him go...but the real moron is brett that guy coulda kept his mouth shut no matter who pressured you and took your time and made a sound decision...instead he made repeated bad calls...he better have a kick ass season or hell go down in history as the biggest bitch in nfl history....there my 2 cents...now that its over i hope i dont hear a fucking word untill kick off time in september
